Worst game ever made.

I thought I'd cloak over to some guy and snap his neck. Nope, all the melee attack does is perform a gentle push on enemies. I thought perhaps I should switch to strength to fix that. Apparently the strength ability only affects your legs as once again I performed a gentle push. What a worthless piece of shit.

And the demo is so horribly broken. It refuses to stay in full screen and constantly changes all the video settings. One minute it runs perfectly smooth on max settings and the time I try its slow as fuck no matter what the settings are.

Playing Crysis on XP is better than Vista. Dare I say it again, XP is better than Vista.

Then you MUST have a lousy computer. And judging a demo is like judging a book by it's cover.

True.

8GB of RAM, 3.2ghz Dual Core Intel Xeon in a workstation board 1033FSB, 150GB Raptor SATA, Radeon 2900HD XT

Are you some kind of fucktard? What is the point of a demo other than to DEMOnstrate the game. The whole point of a demo is to make people want your game, not hate it. Dipshit.

Please, let me in on your secrets.

Meh, even with everything maxed out, 8x AA, and 1680x1050 resolution it was not nearly as impressive as I thought it would be. It looks horrifyingly bad actually.

Grab and then punch? Grabbing is necessary eh? I was not doing that.

QuoteRadeon 2900HD XT <-- That thing literally is a joke for crysis.
I couldn't find any definitively legitimate benchmarks for Crysis. The only benchmarks I could find compared the HD2900XT to the 8800GTX, which stated the the 2900 was better. Those benchmarks are supposedly a hoax however, which I am willing to believe. The 2900 should not be , it is significantly cheaper than the 8800.

This is the best I can do for card to card comparisons: http://www.engadget.com/2007/04/24/atis-radeon-hd-2900-xt-benchmarked-trumps-nvidias-geforce-880/

Here is some stuff about Crysis raping the 8800. AA is impossible to use with this game: http://www.theinquirer.net/gb/inquirer/news/2007/10/29/inq-grills-8800gt-dx10-hit

I have an 8800GT. I don't know about Radeons but, most games were designed for nVidia graphic cards, and simply may not be very compatible with Radeon.

You sir are ill informed. nVidia's cards have been moderately faster, albeit more expensive, for some time. ATI has generally been regarded as being better on the driver-side of things*. Which is to say, you will never run into a game that an ATI card is not compatible with. That has happened to me on more than one occasion with nVidia cards though. Regardless, the problem is not a compatibility issue, and the game rapes both nVidia and ATI cards.

*On that note I have been extremely disappointed in the lack of a feature for disabling scaling for widescreen monitors.
