Own Sound for MOD, is it possible?

Yup, you use the Import tool to get your files associated with your map. Then it is just a case of using the data editor / triggers to play or make use of these assets. Let me know if you need more info than this.

You will need to define the sound in the sounds portion of the Data Editor. This should be as simple as copying an existing entry similar to what you want your sound to be, then altering the file it references to. For the case of music, it helps to also set up a Soundtrack entry, since the Soundtrack-related triggers give you more power over controlling music then the Sound related triggers do.
If the editor whines about the map being in use when you change Sound data, you'll need to save the map under a new name. I need to do this every time I add any dialogue to my maps or whatnot and I'm pretty sure it's a bug. /edit Oh. That's an old thread someone necro'd. Well then. Troll successful. |
