I'm 'building' a website. Actually, I'm doing it the cheap, simple way, and am using weebly. I modified some of the html/css stuff, but since I'm not very good at either of those I kinda needed the Weebly templates. Anyways, I was wondering if anyone wanted to critique it before it becomes officially live? If you're interested please comment here or send me a PM. I'll get back to you via PM.
All I want to know is how all the elements look on your browser or screen size, and if it looks like I made it in prebuilt software stuff.
Thanks!

Not you you're mean to me.

I'm not mean if you don't deserve it. If you made a nice page you'll get praise, if it sux (imo) I'll tell you why.
Doesn't change the fact that you're mean!
If I show it to you I need to get further along, then.
I doubt that works. Honestly there are 'rate XYZ' on other websites I'm apart of. All it is is a bunch of people who want critiques, but don't know how to give them, so its like "oh that looks good"
but I posted it in the shoutbox so it doesn't matter lol xD

If you post it here, I'll comment on it.

The website looks fine. The only thing I didn't like about it was the lack of different things to buy
All the elements, images, and text fields lined up perfectly fine on my screen resolution. And yes it looks like the site was made with a website generator, but I don't know if most people would care to notice.
None.
Yeaaa variety isn't there yet. xD
And I feel the same way about it being generated-looking. I took a template and edited the code a little to look better. Otherwise I don't think most people will care too much.
I doubt people will notice since the person who told you that already knows what to look for when figuring out if the site was based off a template. If you're selling stuff online then i'm sure most of your customers won't know html or photoshop or stuff like that. Just be cool. Nobody will notice ;0
None.
I still suggest rollover images for the links.

The "top News", being to the right of a big picture, looks awkward. Also, as Devlin said, rollover buttons.
None.
Also, I didn't even see the Twitter and Facebook links. They blend in way too much.

Well the background image I drew and put together, but the rest of the layout seems kinda obvious to me. xD
bumpan - I changed the background because the text on other pages was nearly impossible to read.
GOD DAMNIT. I had a long critique and closed the tab.
First off, I didn't realize that the background was all 1 image. You can recreate that really easily with some simple CSS. I can help you with that if you want, as I'm doing something similar on a site I'm working on.
I still highly recommend rollover link images, as it will make it look 100x better.
I recommend either putting the swirly image that is currently on the right on the left as well, or on the bottom of the page remove the swirly image that is on the left.
Using simple CSS, you can make your Blog look more like your site, too, if you want.
On the "About" page, move the "Weebly" link on the bottom down a line or two so it isn't half on the white and half on the pink.
On the "Shop" page, move the "Weebly" and sitelinks down so you can see the bottom of the the background. This applies to the "More" page as well.

Thanks. Weebly crops the page based on content, not really on the background image. It fit before but not this time >.<
I moved the image to the right because I couldn't get everything centered correctly make it look right when I put the top graphic on the left and right. Lazy? Very yes.
Tell me more about CSS. right now it says
background-color:#ea7888;
background-image:url('background2.png');
What benefits does it have over this?
Also, blog was another lazy quick fix that I made before.
That's why the links are an ugly brown color xD
The buttons have the wording on the image, not over it. Honestly I don't know how to code it so that the text is over it, and I lost my .svgs of the files so I'm hesitant to create a roll over image that will not look right. At that point I might just make new graphics, because it took very little time. Anyways, my header...This is how its coded (but you probably already knows this):
Thanks for the help.
EDIT: I changed the background image to the original one I had up. Do you see what I mean by the links look off center. :\

Yeah, I understand. That is because the left swirly image is farther from the edge of that frame than the right one is. Now I highly recommend CSS.
Using CSS you can:
- ...create that background (rounded edges and all) with a few lines of CSS.
- ...position the links in the center without being affected by what's on the page.
- ...put the swirly background images in there without affecting anything else.
For example, everything on
http://www.galaxywiki.net/wiki/Wiki_Sandbox is CSS (the logo image in the top left, the navigation menu in relation tot he content box, the drop shadows, the blocks of text with borders, etc.).
For the rollover image links, having the text on the links is preferable. All it does is replace the image when you move your mouse over it. If you don't have the originals, that's fine. Save the images, copy that background color, and redo them.
