I got a request. Make (with newegg.com links) the best computer you can out there. Now one with about a 1500$ budget.

Please? I know nothing about hardware but I want to make a computer (it's cheaper etc). This includes case + power etc. Anything besides a mouse (Keyboard, I'd like, but not needed) that is needed to run a computer. Monitor too, or at least recommend them.

Are you looking for a computer that can run the newest games on good quality?

AGP? No, he wants PCI Express. A computer costing that much shouldn't even have AGP at all. Paying that much, you should be able to run the newest games in good quality, if you pick your parts right. I mean, I paid like around $1200 or $1300 for mine two years ago and it was good for games. Part of that even went to a moderately expensive case and power supply (around $125 each for those two parts).

-EDIT-

OK, I've been looking through parts for a little while and this is what I came up with: http://secure.newegg.com/NewVersion/wishlist/PublicWishDetail.asp?WishListNumber=6474911

I normally don't pick cases that come with power supplies, but that particular one that is included is pretty good. Antec power supplies are always made by someone else and that particular series I've heard is made by SeaSonic. Though if you do want something a bit better you could pick out a different case and go with this power supply: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817194004
Of course, it is going to cost more that way, obviously.

You could also reduce the overall cost of the system from my list without reducing performance by replacing Vista Ultimate with Home Premium (still probably get the 64-bit version), changing or omitting the keyboard/mouse, omitting the floppy disk drive (it is cheap and can still be useful under some circumstances, though), changing to a lower capacity hard drive, changing the optical drive, and changing or omitting the speakers.

BTW, just so you know, I specifically picked out that LCD monitor for its high contrast ratio and low response time. The price seems to be fairly good for a monitor with those specs.
