I think this must be someone's way of saying "Let's just cash in on the hype and then let this cursed franchise die off." That, or some form of trolling...

There is a small chance that it is because it's just a demo that there're so many design flaws.. Let's hope that that's the case.
This is also a perfect example of how some design choices can undermine the whole experience....

It's like.. The Developer asks the Head
"Okay, so we got a nice Shooter set up, and a really good, classic game to take inspiration from, AND amazing hype.. what do we need to do now?"
And then the Head Manager, with a screwdriver in his skull says
"DUUUH-- We gotta have Regenerating Health, Sex Appeal, Vehicle Sections, Mounted Gun Sections, Sniper Sections, Limited Weapons Choices, RPG Against Air Unit (either Helicopters/Alien Ships), and to top it off, a Physics Puzzle Section... because Every other FPS's Have them, and we'd be damned if we don't!!"

Who in the hell said that FPS's need all of these anyway? If I was playing as duke, I just want to go all Ratchet and Clank on the enemies.. experimenting with the weapons and what they do to the aliens..., except with steroids.

So! average shooter.. taking aesthetics and weapon ideas from the past.. hardly what Duke Nukem fans are looking for.

Now watch someone go on to make a Duke mod that's 10x funner than the actual game...

Guaranteed that this mod is downloaded more than people purchase the game.

Pre-ordered it on Steam a while ago and got to try the demo a few days ago. It doesn't appear to be exactly what I would call a "good" game, but I didn't expect that either. I'm just in it for all the lulz

Yea some people expect the game to give blowjobs and cure cancer because it had 12 years of development. Im okay with everything except the game just isn't fast enough. So slow paced ;_;

Been playing it for two hours now and I have to say I'm impressed The graphics are decent, the humour is there and it has a variable gameplay.

This is one of the worst games I've played in 2011, which is saying a lot since I had just previously played some of Dungeon Siege 3 and vomited.

That demo is pretty accurate to the rest of the game.

I have not played any previous Duke games, so DNF just seems to be what Bulletstorm already was, except made by Gearbox with 1/8 the budget and just about as much effort.

Was Bulletstorm not good (at all)? I played the demo and I thought it was pretty fun. ;o

Bulletstorm is what DNF should have been, basically. If you're in DNF for the one-liners, Bulletstorm is better. Graphics? DNF is Unreal 2.5. Gameplay? Yeah. No competition. Bulletstorm isn't anything revolutionary but it was quite enjoyable.

Time to wareZ the hell out of bulletstorm then. What was the other game you did an LP of Mesk? Dark Souls or something? I remember you got lost and raged for about 5 minutes and I lul'd.
