This map is my first COMPLETE melee map. With altered resources, since we know they die fast, so this can be designed for games to last long

I believe normal minerals have 3k minerals (Doubled) Rich are normal, and vespene is 3500 (1000 more), rich is normal.

You can do teams, but this is meant to be played ffa style. I can't remember exactly (I uploaded this map over week ago, sent it to a friend on the helper) I believe by default you start at the bottom left, and 1 of each race computer at the other corners. (Tell me, if so I can update this thread with one thats normal melee).


Anyway, on this map, the only expansions are a rich minerals/gas on each side of the map, with 2 entrances, both blocked. Each player starts at a corner on a map, resource organization is all vertical, so to speak, hope you like that setup xD.

In most maps I doodle alot, this was my attempt at making a regular melee map (Kinda, modified resources, but I can make a normal version if you guys like)

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

Hi, I moved your topic here because it's a melee map.

I would say that the right lowest position is the best.
The path to the expansion is shortest and colossus can't sneak inside the base easily.
East expansion has 9 fields, left expansion has 8 ones...
West, north base is much bigger than the other bases...

Try to create more equal conditions for every start position.

-Fixed the west Expansion mineral count (9 to 8).
-Made various terrain addition, primarily doodads.
-Modified starting zones, make them seem more equal.
-Modified east expansion size, making it a bit smaller.
-Changed normal minerals from 3000 to 2000.
-Changed Rich Minerals from 2000 to 3000.
-Changed Normal Vespene from 3500 to 3000.
-Changed Rich Vespene from 3000 to 3500.

Mains are too small. There is no natural, which is pretty important for zerg, since one base play is generally all-in and standard zerg play usually involves an expansion either early or somewhat early, usually before 20 food.

Each base has an area that's harassable for reapers/colassi, but the 5 o'clock base has his faced a different way then all the others, making his base a little more protected as the others.

The right gold expansion is not as safe as the left, since one of the ramps is facing towards the middle. Also, I think 2 sets of rocks to kill to get the gold is a little overkill, especially since of the lack of expansions on the map.
