Just wondering if it is possible to get the monorail engine to move along the track pieces.
My attempts thus far have produced nothing.

Solved: See http://www.staredit.net/232679/

Monorail engine? Tracks? EXPLAIN THIS ODD BEHAVIOR!

:payne:

I think he is referring to the train that you can set on tracks. I've seen it in many videos and in-game into Mar Sara RPG (yes, from sc2)... but I've never seen it moving, and it looked like it was more of a doodad than a unit...
Though it might be possible.
I hope I helped the case of the "omg, what he meant ?"

I remember seeing it in a a blizzard video and I think it was moving but I can not seem to find the video again.
I could change the model of an air unit to the model of the monorail engine and fake it although I would
much rather figure out how its done without doing that.

Pretty sure thats what you would have to go about doing is making it into a unit.

I know it had the doodads in it but i dont think it was moving.

It can be done.

Fix to the above link

And like I said, had to be made into a unit. Watch the minimap and you can see the dot for it movie, which a doodad would not have.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier

NudeRaider shouted: Symmetry I can't tell if it's relevant. You provided literally no context so I was providing an equally generic answer.
