Specifically, the top area of it, where the cliff is. Something feels wrong about it. Anyone know what it is?
None.
Well the top left is different from the rest of the picture. Pull a couple of the orange clouds, and possibly put a couple char sprites on that top left edge to knock it down.
Also, your placement of the swarms is random. Place the swarms in clusters, make everything feel natural. 2-3 swarms on the left of a pathway, 2-3 on the right, intermittent sprites to knock down the monotony of the straight cliffs. Guess and check when you lay something down; lay it down, see if it feels right, if not then guess as to how to fix it, try to fix it, if that made it worse undo (ctr+z), then repeat the process until you are satisfied.
None.
Get rid of the sprites and re-post the picture, much easier to say then. Also, something I noticed through the dark swarms is that the left and right edges of the uppermost part just cut off vertically, you can use extended terrain to patch that up.
Edit: Oh, if you were to translate that particular mountain into reality, you'd find it was leaning backwards because the base doesn't extend far enough backwards to complete a smooth transition upwards.
None.
I don't mean the sprites, I mean the top cliff area specifically. Something about the cliffs immediately transitioning to dirt, whereas the base of the mountain has several layers. Is there anything wrong with this?
None.
You've already posted that same picture a while back, no?
None.
Yeah, it's the same as it was before. But the thread was really old, and this is a new discussion topic about it. If you like, I could zoom in on the part I'm talking about specifically, I just didn't want to go to the trouble to save another picture and upload it.
None.
You could try showing multiple layers of cliff backs. The way you have it right now, it would look like this if viewed from the side:

If you have multiple layers of cliff backs, it'll look more like a volcano.
Wait, just realized that Vrael already pointed this out.
If you're able, you could use cloaked buildings to create a shadow behind the mountain, I think? You'd need a lot, however. IIRC they still cast shadows...
None.
Hmm, so is that kind of slope ok, or should I add some layers to the back? I've alread got some stuff put back there in my current version, but I could probably afford to move it.
