It's like a combination of Civilization, Imperialism 3, and traditional diplomacy maps. I created everything by myself (except for about a dozen triggers, which had to be modified anyway). Within The Industrial World, there are eleven nations, a non-linear tech tree, a tutorial, nation-specific events, about sixty cities, almost a dozen "luxury commodities," uncountable structural "zones," multiple upgradeable unit types, and even nuclear missiles. Up to seven humans can play.
Playable Nations
Each country has its strengths and weaknesses. Some, such as China, start out with huge tracts of land but few buildings. Others, such as France, begin the game with only one "Urban Center" but control "Luxury Commodities." In addition, countries with less land generally have events with greater benefits, such as America.
- American Empire
- Brazilian Empire
- British Empire
- Chinese (Qing) Empire
- French Empire
- German Empire
- Japanese Empire
- Ottoman Empire
- Russian Empire
- Spanish Empire
Unit Types
Instead of conventional upgrades, most units can be upgraded through research. The number inside the parenthesis () indicate the number of "forms" available to the unit type.
- Volunteer Infantry (3)
- Elite Infantry (3)
- Cavalry (2)
- Artillery (3)
- Tank (1)
- Light Warship (3)
- Heavy Warship (3)
- Transport Ship (1)
- Fighter (1)
- Bomber (1)
- Transport Plane (1)

Win by luck, lose by skill.
Some screenshots and a more detailed description of gameplay would be great.
None.
Screenshots have been linked! It won't let me post them directly for some reason.
Also, if anyone has found any bugs, post them here.

Thanks to the file size limit on a single post, I've uploaded the new version to the DLDB.
The Industrial World v0.74

Have you balanced the late game stuff yet, or does that still need to be done?
None.
I changed unit prices and stats. Also, tech now costs more in the late-game (so your minerals won't stockpile).
