File Description
WARNING: Requires downgrade to Starcraft version 1.13a
WARNING: Requires Microsoft Windows operating system

Spell Defense is the only major project to use EUD actions. This map can be played without 1.13a/Windows, but much of 2.2.1's functionality is lost as Rocket Tanks no longer fire rockets and you have to manually cast spells. I still highly recommend this map for fun.

Note: The version number in the NAME of the file is wrong, nowhere else. Will be fixed when file updating is added to DLDB.

Well, it didn't work for me. :-(

Tanks fire rockets, and many spellcasters have that spell as their default attack (high templar/psi storm, defiler/plague, etc). Also, Psi Storm damage is increased by upgrading Protoss weapons.

Whats with the EUD's? I played it on 1.13 and I didn't see anything cool

That is the directions? It's just a defense, but it's co-op so you're not going to win on single player. It's still playable on 1.15.2 but some of the cool units aren't as cool.

No directions? I don't know what to do besides buy defenders and kill the enemies before they get to the end... :-(

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
