Okay, I recently downloaded and used RegSeeker to try and clean out my registry, after cleaning it out, every time Explorer starts up, my desktop icons are all reset, when I try to restore my backups on RegSeeker, I get an error when attempting to restore the one called RESTORE DESKTOP ICON POS, so I'm wondering if anyone has any idea how I can fix it.
Second problem: Firefox. I've been running Firefox 2 for a while now, I've gotten it all customized and everything, but for some reason I can no longer run it without disabling all my add-ons, for a while it was just crashing every time I restarted it after getting an update, but now I can't run it at all, anyone know how to fix this one?
None.
1. Don't know.
2. Sounds like you inadvertently upgraded to Firefox 3. I would try downloading and installing an older version of Firefox, from there you can keep using that version or disable your addons and upgrade back to 3 and update your addons.
None.
I was on Fx 2, but I went ahead and upgraded to Fx 3, and it's working fine now, now I need help with the first problem..
None.
I'd rather not use that, as I have made some pretty epic changes to my computer as of late.. Does anyone have a working backup?
None.
Always a good reason, but still a possibilty.

Sure I didn't pop off on SCBW like I wanted to, but I won VRChat. Map maker for life.

Umm, backing up your registry to someone else's is probably not a good idea?
None.
A working backup of RESTORE DESKTOP ICON POS, not the entire registry
None.
I try to have no icons on my desktop to begin with. I much prefer them hidden on the start menu >:D

Not sure what version of Windows you're using, but you might try replacing the actual explorer.exe. It contains the Restore Desktop Icons, and also the instructions for where/how they should be placed (which seems to have something to do with "Pos"). It could also have links to the registry.
