The noob theory

Hmm, they say that the police monitor the internet, chatrooms, forums, games etc. To catch out E-Crime, Sex offenders and the like.
Maybe, all of the really bad noobs [the ones who seem to have downs syndrome] are the FBI... Maybe they use it as a guise to catch out those doing the wrong thing. Would you be more likely to talk about how you pirated Photoshop [over the interwebs] with
A) A well-spoken person who has a deep aversion to crime.
B) Quite simply, a retard who can't go two sentences without caps lock, swearing or spelling mistakes?

The noobs in particular I am referring to are the worst of the worst, the blathering, cursing, madmen [Mingebags, if you get the reference], rather than those who are new to the game, Noobs, rather than Newbs, Kapiche?

Opinions?

They have, especially MySpace since A LOT of personal information is given away. Even the guy who made MySpace allows the Police in to investigate even if the profile is set to private.

I'm not arguing the point that the police are out there, I'm arguing as to WHO they might be.

What answer?
If you mean 'there are cops on the internet' I already know that, I mean 'are the noobs the cops?'

Obviously not, unless they are some security guard at a Teen age that can still annoy us. But in reality, they don't act like noobs.

I *might* be a cop...

Noobs are too lame to be cops. Nobody would give important personal data to a noob anyway. So I go for B.

?????

The acting noob could all be a guise, if you catch the badguy in the end, it doesn't matter if you acted like an idiot doing it [especially anonymously]

They wouldn't have to join our conversations in order to monitor our forums.
Although, yes if they were to join in, they would be the person who posts, "You guys got anything illegal to share with me?!"

I doubt it, I think they wear the mask of omgwtfretardcakes to lull us into a false security, and then we accidentally slip out 'Oh yeah, I buy and sell pistols on the blackmarket, good money, if a little dodgy'. [Not that we do :P]
Then they look for threads containing our location, BAM investigated, BAM jailtime, BAM police > wtfnub.

I don't think they pose as gamers, I think noobs are just well.. NOOBS. They do monitor our facebook and myspace pages though.

We live in a society.

Personally, I don't feel much of an impulse to discuss things that I may or may not have pirated or downloaded illegally.

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless
[2024-5-06. : 5:02 am]
Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value
[2024-5-06. : 5:01 am]
Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

Ultraviolet -- Vrael
Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
[2024-5-06. : 12:51 am]
Oh_Man -- definitely EUD
