Let me show you how to hump without making love.
Some people know that my fascination with Clan Dyne is a never ending one. I'm currently planning on making another map along the same lines as my post project,
Pirate Dyne, in terms of it's style of defense and NPC spawn methods. So, I have decided to go against what I've been saying about holding off map making until SC2 and make another map.
So far, I've decided that I am going a bit mythical with this one. I still have not touched SCMD and am waiting for some input/suggestions before I start. I am currently toying with the idea of the 'good guys' being the dwarves and the enemies some kind of mythical beasts, with periodic boss-style attacks.
Any feedback would mean that you are friend.

I dont like Open RPGs.
Besides, I just want to do the same thing I did in Pirate Dyne, just with new surroundings, new items, new enemies, new objectives and BEER! DEFEND THE BREWERY!

Go with big boss battles, those are always cool.

Aight, just whipped up some terrain and I think ill show a few people, see what they think and progress from there.

You could try adding to the concept something similar to what I intended with AG's Field Engys. We need more maps with dynamic elements.

You mean creating defensive positions where their needed most? I wouldn't mind trying that out.
If anyone isn't getting at what this topic is about, I am trying to get you to help me build up the IDEA for a map. I already have the idea that theres two sides, three or four structures you must defend, mini-boss enemies and a flow of NPCs throughout the game. I need some ideas for the events, mini-bosses, structures, speech, literally... Anything. I won't criticize anything you submit and will take just about anything into consideration.
Contact me with LoveLess@USEast, I will most likely be on all night.

Vehicles! Dwarf war machine anyone? Maybe you could have an NPC Ally that has the AI so he can cast spells and stuff because it's mythological? Am I your friend now

That sounds like fun to trigger... Bwahahaha. I would love to make enemies that do this, I will see about allies.

It's looking epic so far.
I think controlling the cannons [like a vehicle] should be an ability in this one, since they were so god damn stupid in pirate dyne! Anyway, we really do need the precision sometimes.
Also, was the navy in the first one able to attack the leviathan? Because I think rather than high armor, I think it should have huge HP, and everything can hit it.

Well, I played Pirate Dyne, and it was
AWSOME! I like the whole idea of working as a team to defeat an evil entity. This holds true in Pirate Dyne. I loved the custom terrain and how it was nice and random. It wouldn't just be the same thing over and over along the whold side of a clift or the "boardwalk" ground.
Some Ideas for what ever you make:
Allow the user to enter vehicles. Air/Ground
-The enemy should be Zerg, hense mythical.
-Im not sure how much terraining you plan on doing, and 64x64 worked well in PD so I would stick to that.
-I also like the way that you spawned enemys from the carriers, as if they were making their way to the beach from their large ship, little by little, and then they would go to the shore, explode, and BAM! enemy units.
-It was also cool how you made them stay untill they had enough units, then they atacked.
Something with a space defenders type idea. Space Dyne* ; Invader Dyne*
* NOTE: Space Dyne and Invader Dyne are both copyrighted map names.

Lol, I've been receiving a lot of input from Epoch (Friut) and he has given quite a majority of the ideas so far, so I'm going to split the credit with him. I will be opening up a production thread sometime in the future, so look up to that.
