That's really all there is to it. I told IP I thought we should have it and he told me to make a topic about it.

We live in a society.

I should just put a link:
http://www.staredit.net/?p=members&order=last_active&by=desc

Mar 24 2008, 1:06 am Forsaken Archer Post #4

But it shows all active members, not just the ones in the forums moose.
Though, I think the old sen list would be everyone on the page. I'm not sure if the list on maplantis is the same or only the members on the forums. Is this what you are asking for?
Or... those only on the forums?

We live in a society.

It had all the members active in the last X minutes anywhere on the site at the bottom of the forum index. Like IPB, phpBB, pretty much every other major BB... yeah we should have it. :P
I'll put it in later if you don't want to.

Maplantis had a list of everyone on the forum at the time at the bottom of the index. Then in each subforum it said who was there, also (but no complete list of everyone on page).

Maplantis had actually everyone online on the entire site.

Although, having it just for certain sections doesn't sound like a bad idea. Maybe bold their names if they're in the section you're viewing.

On a related note, will the "Status" info in each member's profile ever show where they are actually active, as opposed to just saying "unknown location"?

'Twas an accident. On a positive note, after reporting this mistake to IP, we may finally get an 'edit poll' option. :P

Well, there were 15 voters, and 14 of them put yes, so therefore 93% of people aprove. :P

Both a list of all online users, and those who have been online today are necessary.

Amen. Well, not necessary, and maybe have an open/close button, but make 'em available.

You can get current online users and users online today via the members script.
It seems really redundant to have it somewhere else as well.
As a minimum though, I'll at least add users currently inside the forums. Maybe a expandable box for members in other locations or something.

It may be somewhat redundant, but it is somewhat necessary as it would be easier to view and better appreciated.

It is somewhat helpful to see the list on the same page instead of going to only the members page, though. It's not completely redundant.

UndeadStar -- I wonder if that's what happened to me. A returned product (screen) was "officially lost" for a while before being found and refunded. Maybe it would have remained "lost" if I didn't communicate?

NudeRaider -- PSA: ASUS apparently decided their RMA department needs to "become profitable" and for a while now outright tries to scam customers. They were called out on it a year ago, promised to change, but didn't. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pMrssIrKcY so my recommendation: Stop buying ASUS, and if you already have and need something RMA'd, make sure to not let them bully you into paying.
