Ok so I've been trying to mod a little just to see what I could do, and I figured out how to use dat edit with winMPQ, but now I'm having trouble getting my firegraft patches to work.
So I made a new file in Firegraft and edited a few things. Then I saved it as an .exe file, but when I click on the .exe file to start it up, it just opens a browser and asks me for another .exe to use. What am I doing wrong?

eternal lurker

You're not doing anything wrong. When your FireGraft .exe prompts you to select a different .exe, it's actually asking you to find your StarCraft.exe file, so it can patch it and apply your mod's changes. If you look at the title of the dialog box, it should say "Open StarCraft Executable" or something like that.

Do you have the correct versions of SCBW and FG?

I just read another thread. I think I understand what i'm doing wrong. I have the 1.16.1 version of Firegraft, and I have 1.15.2 of Brood War.
