Is it possible to remove say a Vespene Guyser from the map after someone builds a refinery on it? If so, how?

You cannot. You must remove the refinery that was built. Note that this will cause the vespene geyser to disappear.

If you use "Kill Unit At Location" and kill the refinery, then the vespene geyser returns to the map.

Actually you can remove vespene geysers, and mineral deposits (3 specific unit types), from the map at any time you want.

Pre-placed minerals and geysers can be owned by any player in the game, so modify the following information as appropriate if this is the case. Normally they are owned by P12 (Neutral).

When you kill a vespene extractor for any player, it is replaced with a geyser owned by P12. You simply need to run a trigger that has "Remove Vespene Geyser for P12 at [location]" and that'll get rid of it. Note that this must take place at least 1 trigger cycle after the 'kill' has been actioned, because the P12 geyser isn't created in the same instant that the building died.

This same concept it used in the creep manipulation wiki page for removing creep from the map - create an extractor, kill it, and remove the geysers. This removes the patch of creep that the extractor was on, because vespene geysers can't be placed on creep themselves. Similarly if you pre-place mineral deposits on top of creep and then use a trigger to remove them in game, the creep underneath them will never decay naturally (a building must be built, or the creep overgrown with 'natural' creep from a colony etc).

Oh_Man -- whereas just "press X to get 50 health back" is pretty mindless

Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value

Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius

With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort

Oh_Man -- definitely EUD
