While thinking about my elegant systems for my next Desert Strike version I stumbled across this thought:
We could just make the players unally the players they want to ban. I think it's a nice idea, because you don't have to reserve a spot on your map for the banner units and also it's something new. Always good to use fresh ideas (at least I haven't seen it before).
In team vs. team maps - as opposed to the classic voteban - only votes from team members would count. This way it would be easier to ban someone because often not all people realize who the lagger (or w/e) is and also realize where and how to ban him. It would only need 1 or maybe 2 of his team.
The unally could easily be detected by setting 8 different death counters for the 8 possible human players at map start and then check for "Foes has suffered 1 death of unit x" or use actual units if you don't have 8 dcs (works best if you hide vision to the players themselves). I'm sure there's even better ways to detect it.
Only real drawback I see is that you have to somehow explain to the people how it works.
What do you guys think?
I know this Condition to be used for secret ban systems and stuff. For a Ban System accessable to all Players i would prefer the usage of Common Systems instead. However its usefull for "clean" maps. I don't know Desert Strike much but i think it's not that type of map where i would prefer this System instead of Common ones. If you need more Players to ban someone it just might force problems if someone don't wana Ally or Unally the Opponents/Allys.
None.
ehh i really prefer vote bans.
civs, and if majority rules, guy gets banned.
if the majority of the guys teammates choose to kick him, then kick him.
None.
First and main question: how many votes will needed to ban?
For example we play 3x3 game:
1) I want to ban allied P3
2) I want to ban allied P6
What we should do in this cases?
None.

But in the end it depends on what you decide for your map.
1) I want to ban allied P3
2) I want to ban allied P6
What we should do in this cases?
1) unally P3
2) unally P6
Sorry - was a mistake. In example 2 I mean "enemy p6".
So for vote to ban enemy I will need to Ally him?
None.
Good job on thinking of this, but it has been used once(I think only once) before in 10,000 Unit Defense.
None.

The allying would be possible if you like, it's really your call as a mapmaker, but imo 1-2 allies should suffice and just auto assume the enemies want him out anyway.
So I think it should be kinda like this:
Number of votes for ban player = X
If 3 players in team then X = 2
If 2 players in team then X = 1
If 1 player in team then he can press alt q q
And: if current player allied his enemy - then enemy team only receive a message "enemy teal player 3 just voted for ban your allied orange player 6" (and allied team also receive a message like "allied teal player 3 just voted for ban your enemy orange player 6").
Allying enemy doesnt add any votes. Allying count is unlimited.
And annoying thing is next:
Example: players 1 2 3 play vs 4 5 6
If player 1 want to ban player 2 and for successful ban he need agreement of palyers 4 and 5 - then enemies can forbid to do this, if they dont want "more spawn speed for players 1 and 3".
If player 1 want to ban player 2 and for successful ban he dont need agreement of palyers 4 and 5 - then in 2vX games my ally always will can ban me. Even if I dont want this. For example ally just want to play alone (not because of lag or BS reasons) - and he can easily ban me. Btw - this will be some kind of BSing.
