I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

Hi modders,
since I take over the modding of Sons of War project after some struggle between IskatuMesk and praetormike which isn't worth to be mentioned any further, I could need some help to get deeper into modding.

The point is that there is an "arbiter.lol" file with an effect and usage I don't know.

So, I would like to get information about that sort of files and its usage and what you can do with it in it.

EDITING: PyLO.exe

USED BY: Iscript.bin ? (not sure, I didn't open the iscript.bin yet)

GENERAL USAGE: (some sort of frame offsets? I don't know it  )

USABLE COMMANDS + category + description:
(like "Frame:" and then the coordinates)

example:
the content of the "arbiter.lol" file looks like this in the editor:
Code
Frame:
   (0, 0)

does this have any effect at all? In the original SCBW 1.16.1 there was no arbiter.lo? file.

Thank you in advance...

Lo? files are used by certain iscript.bin opcodes. Someone probably edited the arbiter's iscript and used one of those opcodes. If you want more information, post the arbiter's iscript and the images.dat file.

EDIT: Btw, if you would like me to join your SoW team, I'm more than interested. I know plugins, which lets me do all sorts of cool stuff. (Basically, plugins can do anything.)

Dungeon Master

lo? files determine where an overlay is placed. For example, the battlecruiser has a lo? file telling it where its engines and its firing animation are placed. Units with turrets (goliath/tank/missile turret/science vessel/whatever else I'm forgetting) use lo? files to determine the coordinates of the turret.

I'd be more than happy to clarify further if needed.

EDIT:

Here's an article that might help you determine what the lo? file is used for. http://www.modcrafters.com/wiki/index.php?title=LO%3F_Files
