As far as illegal immigration goes, primarily those of the mexican discent, I have not obtained enough knowledge to hold any highly educated stance upon this issue. But I can say that as far as any stance goes for illegal immigration, I have no problem with them AS LONG AS they abide by this one condition:
English
Learn some damn English. Seriously, ok it is fine if you come here to: live legally or not, take jobs most americans don't want, pay or not pay taxes, not pass criminal background checks (well maybe not fine for some of them, but these can be debatable) but PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF MINIMOOSE KNOW SOME ENGLISH!!!! It is a serious hinderance to America if the people/workers here do not know any English. Sure America is multi-cultural, but hey we are an english speaking country. Not saying so is like saying China official language is portuguese. Communication is a key for ANY environment here in America, ESPECIALLY if you are coming here to work under english speaking companies. Here in Texas, like almost half the population here is hispanic, and as you go further south like towards San Antonio, there are scores of spanish speaking people, and even more who know only english. I am sure the same applies for other places like california and such. I would not like to bring a translator with me everywhere I go.
Now don't give me that "Oh but you gotta feel it for these people! You're asking too much of them if you want them to learn english!" First of all: rules are rules. If you are asking us to make exceptions for these people, then why dont we go ahead and make exceptions for everything, including other issues which might even be bigger or more controversial? The fact that we are letting illegal immigrants, people who do not belong in this country, stay right now is already creating a HUGE exception for our nation's policies. Infact, i find this quite ironic how some people who fall on the pro-illegal immigration side also hold views over other issues where rules/laws/rights are absolute and must under no circumstances or exceptions be broken, which contradicts their way of thinking when it comes to illegal immigration. And secondly, if we were to migrate to another country, say china, we're going to have to learn their language if we want any hope of living a decent life there.
Ok, if you are an old person who just cant possibly hope to learn anymore english, then ok you can come live here. But if you are coming here to establish a mutual relationship with America, such as working/interacting with others which happens to be the ultimate reason for why these illegals are here in the first place, then learn some damn english. You don't necessarily have to be able to read; you just have to be able to speak and more importantly understand english.
Do you know how difficult it is to learn a second language? It's not easy. It's almost impossible without a class.
Classes cost money. Guess what kind of jobs illegal immigrants get? I'll give you a hint. They don't pay lots of money. Try taking a class while supporting a family on [sometimes less than] minimum wage.
Now, if the government were willing to set up programs to make it at least a little easier to learn English, then that would be great.
But remember kids, illegal immigrants are very bad and we should never ever help them, especially not with the tax money[debt] of the real Americans.[/sarcasm]

Ok. Speaking English is not a rule. Anybody can speak whatever language they want. There's no rule against speaking in Spanish or not knowing English.
I don't know how you thought that there was a "rule" about speaking English.
SteamBoy: Your stupidity and arrogance is just appalling. I won't bother trying to reply. I will give you a couple answers though.
I know what Lol is, but it justs make you sound stupid when you use it the way you do. This really isn't a "Lol" sort of issue. You're only being distasteful.
Ignorant means that you aren't aware of something. You were (and apparently still are) ignorant about the Korean situation.
I will explain 2 and 3 again for you.
2. Currently, it takes time and money to get from Mexico to the US. The main reason people come here is because they the latter (or, to reword that, they lack money). As a result, they just walk over.
We could just say, "Alright, come in and file for your legal status now," but this is called amnesty. For some reason, a lot of people think this is a really bad idea (I think it's cool.).
3. What I'm trying to say is that if you forced illegal immigrants to be soldiers, it would work out very bad. They would be unmotivated, feel under-appreciated and have a generally bad attitude. This means that desertions, or even revolt against Commanding Officers is likely.
If Illegal Immigrants are here in the USA and are here working. what keeps them from not paying or doing what we have to do?, do you not understand that? like is your brain on?
Makes sense, doesn't it? Unfortunately, we cannot tax illegal immigrants because they are not citizens. If we did the whole amnesty things, they would be and we could tax them. Again, people don't like this so it's not happening.
No, we can't talk. I don't see any reason that your talking would be any less idiotic than your typing. They both draw from the same argument, the same brain.
Sorry if I'm flaming just a bit, but I don't see any better way to lay it out for you. Your original argument was horrible (because of ignorance, I assumed); I attempted to clear things up for you; and you just won't listen.
None.
