I've been hearing a lot about Charles Hamilton. I'm glad he's bringing some elements of old school hip hop back with a little fusion of modern. I like his song "Brooklyn Girl".
I don't know why he likes the color pink though. Kinda weird. Pink shirt, pink "Beats" headphones.
A lot of these new artists are being signed to Interscope for some reason. Charles Hamilton and Wale particularly.

I'm a fan of Biggie in theory, but really I always preferred 2pac. yeah charles hamilton is pretty good, brooklyn girls is hot, also the song he did with asher roth and b.o.b. called "change gonna come." the pink stuff is weird though, as is the obsession with sonic the hedgehog.

I'm a big fan of DJ Premier. He makes the most classic beats and my favorite rappers has a lot of songs that were produced by him.

I disagree, personally I view hip-hop as being the precursor to rap, often with different rhythmic, rapping, lyrical and composition styles, and also rap being a component, rather than the defining performance, of hip-hop, which often has back-up bands and musicians, a dj beat-matching and scratching, etc., with generally a higher degree of musical interplay (as opposed to rap artists who are performing over sample tapes and who only mix in another rapper, which is such a tired old trick).
That was what I was trying to get across
Hip-Hop = Grand Master Flash, Blonde when she 'raped', etc... The old 70's music whench 'Rap' came from during the 80s.

try "Flobots"
activist rappers ftw. i particularly like their song "Handlebars"
None.
Flobots sucks ass. The only reason why they got some attention was for that "political" rap bullshit. Their flow sucks ass and rhyme sucks.
None.
Didn't some famous mainstream artist sample from "Handlebars" and made it all epic and stuff?
None.
I can't stand that Handle bars song. Sounds so retarded with the trumpet solos, not that the rest doesn't suck too.
