Whenever u have a flag beacon (terran, zerg, toss, ect) you can place a cop (short for copy i'm guessing) of the beacon at any valid explored location and the beacon will instantly be moved to where you placed it. However at about five minutes into the game a flag will appear on top of the flag beacon and u will no longer be able to place a cop of it and any new flag beacons will instantly generate a flag and lose their cop ability. So even if you remove the flag and the beacon and place a new flag beacon in the same spot it will still be the same useless flag beacon with a flag on top and no cop ability. I've read another source (
http://www.battleforums.com/forums/starcraft-maps-modifications/131324-starcraft-flag-beacons-placing-cop-countdown-removal.html) where someone says they have seen a map where you were able to place a cop after five minutes (and i'm not sure on the exact time at which you can no longer place cops but its about five minutes) so i was hoping someone knew how to do this (without moding or hacking).

This is impossible. Your "other source" is wrong.

Well a disabled flag beacon will never spawn a flag and doesn't become a noraml beacon. However, although the cop option is there, it doesn't allow you to place it. And, not to mention, it's cloaked lol. I'm not all that familiar with disable/enable functions, but maybe someone else here knows something about enabling the beacon again after those 5 minutes have passed. Is it possible?
None.
