He couldn't be a lurker? He obviously knows it's a sc forum as the word starcraft is all over the place.

SC is always a good game to play over LAN. Half-Life is also good, if you have it. Really, just about any multiplayer game makes a good LAN game. Just google "free multiplayer games" to find some.

Sure I didn't pop off on SCBW like I wanted to, but I won VRChat. Map maker for life.

If you have Half-Life 2, the Synergy co-op mod.

I'm pretty sure he means completely free games, not just free-to-play games.

Diablo 2

The first Diablo is also a good choice and it's pretty much free. Hmmm, now I want to play Diablo.

I had 8 computers at my last job, and had D2 on all of the computers, it was like playing the game for the first time, it was fun again xD

Tribes 1 is a free FPS download, a pretty fun game to LAN if you have enough people.

Savage: The Battle for Newerth is a very good FPS/3rd Person Figher/RTS blend, possibly my favorite game ever.

Diablo 1 is fun as hell if you don't cheat.
