I read an article saying that WebBots are programs that share similar, but slightly varying, capabilities of search engines. They "crawl" the web and spot "keywords" that are relative to the search. Following, then, to piece together these surrounding keywords using a linguistics tool to create a prediction, or statement, of sorts. At first I was a bit skeptical, but then thinking about it, it is just statistics at work using the "Internet" as Data for a sort of "regression line" or... "the prediction". Logically though, these webbots would probably only predict human complexes, as the pages of internet itself, and all (opinions/entries/thoughts) submitted to it are, in fact, Human Complexes.
I guess it is time for my question
After all of this, Where do I fine a "webbot"? When I search "download webbot" on google, immediately three of the top searches contained (all together) 40 computer threats. Does anyone here know how to get their hands on this program? Or at the very least, a website or proxy that has access to such a program that you may visit? Any help in positive direction would be much appreciated, thanks SEN.
I'm only here because they patched SC1 and made it free.
Are WebBots downloadable or is it like browser based? if downloadable then try torrents? Searching through those are usually better than using google for files.
None.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_crawlerI've never heard anyone call it a web bot, but I knew what you were talking about instantly. What do you plan on using this for? Downloadable ones probably aren't available because they aren't a consumer product.
tits
You can try Link Spirit, it's freeware, and basically it helps optimize webpages for search engines, not sure if this is what you're looking for or if you're looking for an actual web crawler.
