I figured I may as well post more details on what I plan to do:
I.) Boss Ideas:
A.) Halon von Craziman (unsure of unit, although most likely a zerg meleer)
1.) Inhabits a Castle (von Craziman Style), which moves every time he is defeated (first to an island west of his original location, not sure after that).
2.) Mainly a brute-strength boss
3.) Abilities -
a.) Revives upon dying. You have to kill him a certain number of times (probably increasing with each time you defeat him) to win the fight.
b.) Has hallus/neutral clones with him in the battle.
4.) Very low hp (probably 1 hit kill), relatively high damage.
5.) Other information:
a.) Relatively easy boss if you pay attention.
b.) For a picture of what the boss is supposed to be, think of the fight with the ghost-thing miniboss in the Forest Temple in Zelda Ocarina of Time. It's basically pretty similar to that, although I doubt any of you play N64 games these days XD. There will probably be some clue giving away the real one, and if you don't kill it in a few seconds, it attacks you.
c.) If you defeat him enough times, he makes an offer for you to join his empire. If you accept, he becomes a friendly npc questgiver, and your previous alliance is revoked. If you reject him, you have to fight him one last time. If you beat him, you keep his castle.
B.) Melekh Sheol (probably dark templar)
1.) In his Castle in Hades (currently unsure of where that will be on the map).
2.) Spellcasting/summoner boss
3.) Abilities -
a.) Shadowball - summonsan overlord belonging to the player (constantly ordered to wherever the player was when the spell was cast), which has recalls following it. If the player gets too close, he is sucked to another location where he is dealt serious damage, and then moved back to where he was.
b.) Summon skeletons - summons a pair of skeletons (usually used 3 in quick succession, creating 6), which chase you and act as normal. These are mainly distractions.
4.) High shields, somewhat low hp, low damage. Actively tries to run away from the player (unless casting shadowball) and harass them with skeletons.
5.) Other information -
a.) Defeat him simply by killing him. Due to his high shield/hp ratio, it would be helpful to have picked up the Orb of Light (science vessel with EMP) before trying to fight him.
b.) The skeletons are distractions. Focus on Melekh Sheol.
c.) If you didn't pick up the Orb of Light, you can still see him while he's casting shadowball (that's why the overlord goes to the player).
d.) If he is defeated, the Kingdom of Hades is slowly taken over by Shadowmeister Nicoli (unless he is also dead, in which case, Hades is inherited by the player, who is then forcibly crowed).
e.) Melekh Sheol is the spearhead the New Order, which is basically a liberal revolution in Undead society. As long as he lives, the Vampires (led by Shadowmeister Nicoli), who are the former nobility of Hades, will be enemies with the majority of the undead. Upon his death, the vampires regain their noble status.
C.) Shadowmeister Nicoli (probe)
1.) Unsure of location, although probably not far from Hades.
2.) Summoning/spellcasting boss
3.) Abilities -
a.) Shadowball - Summons a (preferably cloaked) unit followed by recall graphics, that goes to wherever the player was when it was cast. If it touches the player, it spawns air units (probably scouts) which immediately attack the player and disappear.
b.) Insanity - sends hallus towards a location that the player has to guard. If a hallu reaches this area, air units are spawned by the player, which immediately attack and disappear. (Hallus are detected the same way burrow is detected - a unit is moved to the area, and if it is found to be misplaced (as in, it can't get to the area and moves nearby instead), the trigger proceeds)
4.) Very high shields, moderate hp, and somewhat low damage (his main attack is the spells).
5.) Other information -
a.) Nigh-impossible to defeat without the Orb of Light (science vessel with EMP, used to kill hallus and disable shields).
b.) Leader of the vampire nobility. If he dies, the vampires are scattered and the Resistance to the New Order is doomed.
D.) King Barricade O'Llama (vulture)
1.) Location on the biggest island in the Kuponian Archipeligo, in the bottom right corner of the map.
2.) Brute force/summoner boss
3.) Abilities -
a.) If you kill him, a King unit (probably high templar) spawns in his place and tries to run away from you. In a few seconds, a dropship will arrive with another Llama for him to ride. Once he reaches the llama, he goes back to his normal form and resumes the battle (the King unit is moved to a separate area, with damage retained. Once the King unit dies, the player wins the fight).*
b.) Just like the person he's based off of, he burns through his money. His main attack is to throw wads of cash at you as a weapon!**
c.) O'Llama can sometimes teleport from one side of the arena to another. Also, he knows areas that you might not be aware of.
*If the player reaches the llama before him, the player steals the llama and gets a llama rider (vulture) (his hero is moved to a separate area), and O'Llama orders another llama.
**Before you start laughing, you might want to remember that the currency of choice in the Kuponian Archipeligo is Kupo Beans, which are highly volatile (infested terrans).
4.) His main form (vulture) has relatively low hp and low damage, while his vulnerable state (high templar) has high hp and no attack.
5.) Other information -
a.) His death is effectively the end of the Kuponian Empire, leaving the archipeligo open to players who may want to make a profit off the drug trade.
b.) He leaves behind clues upon his death to a secret area on the island.
E.) Kanna Shapat (archon)
1.) Unsure of location
2.) Mainly a brute force boss.
3.) Abilities -
a.) Divine Blast - works just like Shadowmeister Nicoli's shadowball, except that the targeter is followed by exploding protoss air instead of recalls.
4.) Very high shields, very low hp, and high-ish damage.
5.) Other information -
a.) Ironically, the Orb of Light will be a great asset (if not completely necessary) for this fight (in roleplay terms, you're using the force of true purity to reveal his hypocrisy =P).
b.) Represents the Grand Old Regime and all that comes with it, in addition to being a self-rightous zealot of the Light (as his name suggests, if you know random greek words =P). His fall marks a victory for the New Order.
F.) The Burning Bush
1.) Yes, as your character finds out in the story, his name is in fact George.
2.) I don't really have any ideas for this boss as of yet, but I figured that since I made fun of Obama, I should make fun of George Bush, who was of course far worse XD.
Ok, It's 10:00 PM where I live and I'm gonna go to bed. I'll add on more tommorow if I'm available (I'm having dental surgery tommorow and I'm not sure how if I'll feel well enough to post afterwards =/).
When I get back, I'll probably start on gameplay information.
None.
