You decide!

note: future M versions will not be adding giving tournament winner credits in briefings. That was a big selling point for the other tournys, so if that's your motivation, you're better off voting for v1.5

I can't make up my mind. They're all good, but all have some glaring drawback.

The Rundown:
MT - The version with with just plain temple siege in its name. This version has the strongest emphasis on base capturing. Has +3 marine.

M3 - The most recent version of the temple siege that has been played over the past year. +2 marine. All versions past this one are more of a "Moose Siege" with total removing and replacing of things. The only downside is that assimilators give less than half of what they used to, so the almost are not a factor.

M4&5 - Least amount of glitches. Assimilators restored to a reasonable amount to make them work getting. The aforementioned "Moose Siege"
note - I will be adding the votes for M4 and M5 together, unless whoever voted for M4 requests otherwise.

1.5 - Urine's official version. Adds new heroes, and reworks marine and firebat.

Of course it's going to win. It's the most unbalanced of all, which newbs love, and they outnumber everyone else in votes. If anything label the older versions as 'outdated' and use either M5 or 1.5b. At least I won't have to worry about the other team rushing to the best starter units, because they won't be getting 300 minerals a turn when they capture all three gates.

M5

MT = Marine dominates, Assimilators are ridiculous income.
M3 = Useless Assimilators
M4 = Useless Firebat, Ridiculous Marine
1.5b = Ridiculous Marine, Ridiculous Firebat, lots of new random shit that no one has really figured out yet.

Has to be M5, if we want a half-decent tournament.

I play for fun, who cares if you get credit in the map. Anyone who's going to read the briefing is going to see your name here anyway as a tourney winner.

M4 should be removed from the poll altogether and I wouldn't want to be playing 1.5 because it's still in its experimental stage. M3 is basically just a more balanced version of MT and I haven't yet played M5 enough to give a well thought judgment.

1.5b - I FUCKING LURVE my Phantom. Been 3v1'd many times and have come out successful.

Also, if someone could put a link to this in one of the greeting bots in op sen, it would help so we could get a more rounded response since most of the people that play in the tournys actually don't visit sen.

Lol.. Faz- has put it bluntly.. there is quite a few things that people haven't figure out yet..
However! I've been fixing a lot of things.. and there shouldn't be any glitches in the most updated version (which only a select few has right now.. but u guys can always ask me for it)... I'm nearing the end of changing things, and I'm about to test for balancing... which shouldn't take too long.. All I have left is Medic's new L3 n L4.

There's still quite a few things I need to balance out... like the assault, engineer, psion, medic, DM, and earth demon.. So.. even I wouldn't recommend v1.5 yet for a full blown tournament.. But If for no reason you guys are doing v1.5.. plz save as much replays as possible and send them to me for analysis.

After thinking about it, I think the tournament should be in M3. Making an M5 tournament would be a curtain call on the old temple siege that we all grew to love. I think we should have 1 last Temple Siege tournament where everyone knows what's going on. Don't get me wrong, I'm done fighting change. It's obvious that both moose and urine have decided to either add more heroes or completely change the existing ones. This is something that should happen because let's face it we've done just about every god dam thing there is to do in temple siege, now let's just see who's really the best at pulling those things off. I feel like I can host an M3 tournament, and then an M5 tournament, but hosting an M5 tournament and then an M3 tournament would just be awkward.


Anyways, temple siege was still way fun even without assimilators in the old days. So how does this Thursday night sound?

It is relatively balanced, at least.

Why thursday..? Why not do it a friday or weekend night? I've got to train from around 6:00-9:00 thursdays.

It can also be either friday or saturday night. I'll just say friday night, unless people have objections - then it can easily be changed to saturday night.

Easter Weekend is pretty much the worst time you could schedule this.
