This map looks interesting.
From all of the Open RPG's I've played, I think this one shows the most promise, due to having an alignment system, whereas the others were pretty much the same map with different terrain.
If you ever need help, I'd be glad to offer what meager knowledge I've been able to find.

I'll be honest, I didn't expect too much out of this map at first. However, looking at your screenshots I can see you actually have an idea of what terrain is supposed to look like--natural; you don't have long rectangles everywhere, but rather a random pattern of cliff and wall lines. Hopefully your execution will come out just as well as your terrain.

Get that storyline done, I'd like to see what you have planned out. Good luck with this.

Nice stuff! BTW, the first picture hurts my eyes :><:

Looks very interesting, and hopefully, it will set the standard for open rpgs. A lot of open rpgs I see out on bnet suck ass.

yeah the first one is supposed to be like that, sort of an oil painting type thing or something.

NudeRaider -- EUD actions, specifically. The conditions remained. Today we can even have actions again, but they're all virtualized/whitelisted (not sure on the actual technical implementation) so you can only use them for specific intended purposed, not arbitrary code injections.

NudeRaider -- I mean yes, maps - through EUDs - were theoretically able to do that as well, but that was patched quickly.

not the map, the editor

Symmetry -- I vaguely remember Voy doing some ACE back in the day, but I had no idea EUDs could do that kind of shit. I am very much catching up on the technology

Symmetry shouted: NudeRaider Is EUD editor capable of writing shit onto the player's harddrive? That seems like it would be dangerous
yeah an editor that isn't allowed to write files sounds rather pointless, so I'd assume it can. Like most other programs too btw. and yes, obviously that's dangerous, but also kinda necessary. MS introduced that virtualization for exactly that reason.

Ultraviolet -- I don't think so. I think they shut that shit down after 1.16, maybe even earlier
