He turns on his computer (more like leaves it on all day), and when he gets back from school and gets on, he realizes his hard drive is short 245.8 GB of memory. (Started with 250 GB, and is now 4.2 GB, no DL's)
Well, I was playing mine, and in the middle of a game, I saw I had 42 mb of memory left, which I wasn't surprised by. Then about 15 minutes later I saw I had 0 mb of memory left. Thats right, 0 mb.
Well, I go scouring my computer, and search for issues, find nothing wrong. Then I do a disk defragment, and lo and behold! I find something in my temp file folder. I check out, open up my temp folder, wait about 30 seconds, and another 30 seconds (mind you, I have a 3.0 GHz processor and 1 GB of ram), then I see a ton of folders named: Blizzard Temporary Installer - (random code here). A ton as in 5,000 folders, each containing roughly 10 files (not that large). These all are taking 20 GB of space.
So my questions are:
1. How do you get to the temp file on Vista (I have XP, he has Virus Intrusians Spyware Trojans and Adware.)
2. Any of you other 'WoWers' having this issue?
3. Is there anyway I could permantly get rid of this? I mean, I don't want it to come back, but seeing as how my conclusion of how it got there (running W.o.W) would just make the file replicate itself and make the issue come back again.
None.
