I installed a theme called ProjectX 2 using some tools like VistaGlazz or sumthing. I installed the 64-bit versions of the browseui.dll and shell32.dll that came as a separate file (the poster at deviantart linked to it)(The original could only use 32-bit) and restarted. BAM! Shell32 error.

The Processes (in order):

Start up
Windows Vista
Get a Shell32.dll error
log in
black screen.

Start up
Windows Vista
Safe mode with command prompt enabled
C:\Windows\System32> copy shell32.dll.bak shell32.dll
Shut down

Start up
Windows Vista
Get a blue screen of death and quickly shuts down a second after blue screen.
Automatic Restart
Windows Vista
Safe mode with command prompt enabled
Get a blue screen of death and quickly shuts down a second after blue screen.

Start up
Ubuntu
Wait 5 minutes for it to load
Buncha random text things that I don't understand
Oops, didn't install completely and doesn't know how to
Shut down

ExpressGate Button (Asus feature that is like a built-in mini-linux)
Look for way to access C drive
Fail
Splashtop Browser
Staredit.net
etc etc.
*<-You are here

Pretty much sums it all up in a HUGE package of actions and comments.

I fixed it, I was about to go through the long... painstaking...... warranty voiding process of taking out the hard drive, putting it in another computer, putting the backups as original, and putting it all back together. Instead, I simply installed my old Vista to my long forgotten second hard drive. :-D I am now keeping that on there unmodified in case other probs come up.

Edit: Please close the topic ^.^

If you put it in another computer, sometimes the other computer will automatically fix it on startup, so it's worth a try.

I believe I just said, I got it through downloading Vista to my second hard drive. I just returned the backup. I couldn't do this on either Ubuntu (not installed) or ExpressGate (no access to drives)

O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- below the minimap should be a thing that says "Overlay Settings" with a little + button in the corner, press the + to expand it, uncheck Use Defaults, then change "Tile Overlay" to "Height"

Sylph-Of-Space -- It would be so so so nice if SCMDraft had some kind of dedicated "walkability" view for the tilesets.
