I found a demo from Envy On The Coast's early days as Writ In Water and no lyrics site, including the Envy forums, could provide me with lyrics. I am offering all my current minerals, nearly 500 before making this topic, to anyone who can listen to it and write down the lyrics, accuracy is above all else, should be perfect or near perfect. Keep in mind this is a live demo from their High School battle of the bands, however, it is very listenable, I've seen much worse.
http://www.mediafire.com/?zvwlazkt4wv Lyrics thus far: (First line or so is a mess.) A bloody heart attack, it ripped my skin wide open The corner pub and there's a picture top heavy And just before, we reach for, thinkin' there's nothin' to lose It's only you that's on Consider this a worn out friendship, why The requiem is way too far from us We've come so long to ask ourselves, a question With our arms held tight while you're down, on your knees, hah Here's a list of things, that we would like to bring to you Take a look at our future, my face turns paler ? ? A waiting year of emotions and all too far ahead of us And there's a picture top heavy, and just before We reach for, thinkin' there's nothin' to lose It's only you that's on Consider this a worn out friendship, why The requiem is way too far from us We've come so long to ask ourselves, a question With our arms held tight while you're down, on your knee, Here's a list of things, that we would like to bring to you The bloody pyre, own ambition, why We've come so long to ask ourselves, with our thoughts But I'll ask you now, and so long, to ask ourselves We've come so long to ask ourselves, with our thoughts (Can't make this line out.) (And then I can't make out the rest of the song. ;-; ) This post was edited 2 times, last edit by Excalibur: Jan 10 2009, 4:35 pm. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() -{ Diplomacy: Empires | Blog | Melee QC & Resources }- "You must be careful because we are dealing with people here, not machines or code. Edit: sorry, wrong. Edit: I have tried putting every lyric I could make out and I failed constantly on 3 search sites. INCLUDING GOOGLE! I even tried slowing it down, still didn't help. This topic isn't so you can FIND the lyrics. Someone needs to listen to it and WRITE THEM. Because currently no one has so they DO NOT exist. I would not be offering 500 minerals to FIND lyrics which I could easily do myself with google, if they existed, which they do not. I've looked.

You can get the full 500 if you can get the last missing parts. I'll update with what you did find.

No it relates to the whole
We've come so long to ask ourselves, with our thoughts But I'll ask you now, and so long, to ask ourselves If you notice the second line there is changed from before, and it changes again, furthering what he's talking about. It may not sound like it relates but that's just an indication that we're interpreting it wrong or so I think. I'm starting to get bits and pieces of the first two lines believe it or not. Here's what I have so far on the first lines: We're on the lookout my face blotches and red, raining ? of emotions ? turn into a bloody heart attack (ect.) Really tough. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() -{ Diplomacy: Empires | Blog | Melee QC & Resources }- "You must be careful because we are dealing with people here, not machines or code. Just wondering Marxel, do you like Envy, or just this song or is it just the minerals? No one else has seemed too interested.

Oh actually, at first it was the minerals. Then I downloaded Underground Army for this. So I listened a bit and helped with what I could. After listening for like over 9000, I went ahead and looked at the other songs. Now I'm listening to all of it and kinda liking it. "You Won't Hear This" is real good.
Last word sounds like "morning" or "mourning". ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Nice. And yeah, I love Envy. But their EP, which YWHT is from, isn't as good as the album. Try Mirrors, Vultures, and Lapse.

I'm liking Lapse. Or maybe it's just my habit of listening more to softer music when I'm sleepy
Considering that it's past midnight here at GMT+8, and the fact that I have a paper due tomorrow, I SHOULD get some sleep. Eh, goodluck with the song Ex; maybe someone else can help out. I'll post again if I find anything new. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The reason why I'm not writing any lyrics down are the file extension. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() -{ Diplomacy: Empires | Blog | Melee QC & Resources }- "You must be careful because we are dealing with people here, not machines or code. The reason why I'm not writing any lyrics down are the file extension. Appreciating the advice, especially that the word 'kill' sounds ironic to me on the eve of my birth. Thanks for the advice.[/sarcasm] ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
