*^* ROLES IN PLAY *^*
TOWNSPERSON - The average, ordinary townsperson. Their limited powers include the power of persuasion, power of intellect (clue interpretation), and power of the vote.
MAFIA - They've invaded the town, and they each kill someone every night. They may or may not know the identity of other mafia, thus they may not all be on the same side.
The mafia's killing power is calculated by (X+1), where X is the number of mafia currently alive.
MAYOR - The mayor is elected at the start of the game to "lead" the town. Any player may be elected mayor, including mafia and other special roles. He/She gains the following powers:
- Two times the player's original voting power.
- May declare a double lynch once.
- Protection of two identified Bodyguards. As long as one or more bodyguards are alive, the mayor may not be targetted at night. (However, he can always be lynched.)
- To make an example of their new power, they get to chose who to lynch on Day One.
BODYGUARD - The bodyguards are randomly selected from normal townspersons after a mayor is elected. As long as at least one bodyguard is alive, the mayor may not be targetted at night. They also gain the benefits of knowing who the other bodyguard(s) are.
DETECTIVE - Each and every night, the Detective makes an "investigation" through PM, and learns the identity of one player of their choice.
ANALYST - Once per day, the Analyist may ask one of two things:
1. What, if anyone, does a selected clue point to. (You MUST identify a single clue. If you send me multiple, the first one I see counts.)
2. How many people do the clues point to from that night.
PARDONER - The Pardoner can prevent the lynching of one person after votes are tallied. They may only use this power once per day, and does so anonymously by PM. If the Pardoner does not specify the correct person, their power is rendered useless that day.
ELDER - The Elder wields additional influence on the votes of the town. Elders are otherwise normal townies that get to make a second anonymous vote each day by PM. When day ends, the final list of votes will be given with the included Elder votes and the lynching story. Elders may use their powers on mayoral elections.
DOCTOR - Each and every night, the Doctor may save one person from a single hit. If multiple hits are laid against someone they are protecting, the person will die anyways. Doctors may not protect themselves.
BOONDOCK SAINT - A vigilante aligned with the town who gets to kill one person each night based on their own personal suspicions. The Boondock Saint may not strike until the second night. If the Boondock Saint targets a Mafia who targets him, only the Mafia dies. In all other cases, Mafia kills are processed first. They may not attack themselves. If they do not wish to kill anyone, they do not have to strike. The Saints will only have a combined power of one hit per night.
INFESTED - At any time, an Infested can call out, as shown, SUICIDE [Name], and instantly slay any person. Both roles are revealed apon death, and this ability cannot be stopped by protective abilities (doctor, meatshield, etc). This ability cannot be used until Day 2. If you don't specify a name, the God of the game will choose a target for you. Shout something else and we'll consider it spam, and disregard it. First and final warning.
*^* DIFFERENCES IN SPEED MAFIA *^*
(NOTHING IS FINAL. Any of these rules may change due to popular vote and/or neccessity in order for the game to run smoother. Expect minor changes for Speed Mafia II.)
- Day and Night will only take 24 hours each.
- You may only abstain ONCE per game, and not on the first day. This is to raise activity, and to lessen the waste of space used in the game. More action, more debate, more Mafia for all.
- If you are inactive for a game and you've requested for auto-signup, and have not posted in it, you will be forgiven for not being there, but if you do post, then dissappear, there will be conquences. The same goes for any new signers.
- The slighest sight of flaming will get you potentionally expelled from our game. Spam is taken lighter, but don't make it an issue.
- As we are not the actual staff of SEN, we cannot grant you mineral prizes. Don't ask.
- Unlike the current SEN Mafia, we have no power over stopping you from changing your avatar or signature for our game. However, it is shunned if you do so. The rule may always be changed.
- Please, make your votes clearly defined with a different color. Don't quote someone else.
- If during the night, a Mafia decideds to hit someone with a role that is also used during the night that won't matter when they're dead, day can commence without their role submission at our discretion.
- If you show a role PM or anyother form of proof of your role to anyone, you will be expelled.
