My cousin has Need For Speed Undeground2 on his computer. We were playing and he decided to change the graphics settings but he accidentaly set his resolution to one that his monitor cannot handle. The monitor instantly showed and Out Of Range message and he restarted the computer instantly. Now he cant play NFSU2 cause his monitor goes out of range each time he opens it up. There seems to be no .txt files in the game´s folder i can modify to fix this. Cause I looked around and couldnt find any. Is there any other way to change the game´s resolution? Please respond quickly as I have to leave my cousins house soon and he has no idea on how to fix this.

It's long time ago I had this game installed, so I cannot check it, but maybe you find something in the registry settings.

It's Friday night and I'm a man! I'm not going to sit here all night. I'm going out to meet me a girl who's smart and sexy and has big ovaries! And fallopian tubes! -Stella

If you have an ATI video card, I know the Catalyst Control Center has an option to force the reported max resolution to be higher or lower. If you have an ATI card, then change that setting at least as low as the current desktop resolution and then try running the game. This will prevent the game from even being able to initialize the higher resolution. After that, change the game's resolution setting lower. When it is fixed, you can change the max resolution setting for the monitor back.
There may be a similar setting available in the configuration utility for nVidia cards, if that's what you have.

What you need to do, is copy any saved games you have into a folder. Then, uninstall the game, and reinstall it. then replace the save files into the directory that they go into. That is the only way I know of to fix my Video problems. It always works for me.
Alternatively, get yourself an new monitor that fits the size that the game ask for. I have a large monitor, so I never experience any problem of the sort.
