So recently I've been very inspired by the band Burzum and I've decided to have a go at creating a black metal song of my own. For those of you who don't know, Burzum is a 1 man black metal band. The guy does the vocals, guitar, bass, drums and syncs em all together.
Here's a link for those of you who are interested in hearing some Burzum. (You probably won't like it though.) http://youtube.com/watch?v=3zAZeyCIqO4&feature=related Anyways back to my topic, I plan on doing the bass, guitar and vocals myself and using a drum machine for.. the drums. There are a couple of questions I have though before I really want to dedicate allot of time to this project. - In terms of recording, I have high-end recording microphones that I can plug into my computer. Would the quality be alright if I plugged those in and recorded in my room or should I bother to get all the equipment together so I can plug directly into my computer and record the bass and guitar that way? If anyone has any recommendations as to what programs I could use to do the following, please respond. - A good program to record my vocals and anything else I plan on doing. - A good program to get all my individual tracks on so that I can mix them together. Things like cut and paste are a must. - A good program to make drum beats with. (This one probably will go hand and hand with the program above.) If anyone has any experience in this department, please comment. |
