Facewound was a 2D game designed by Garry Newman [Creator of Garry's mod] He's since cancelled it's production, and released the most recent, totally playable alpha for the public to use. Facewound is easily modable, with nought but a text editor, and minimal coding experience. The mapping tool is easy to use, and good looking too. The engine supports lighting, shadows, physics, ragdolling, refraction maps, normal maps, reflective maps and more. What's more, it's really damn addictive. Yeah, it's pretty harsh, remember it was a released alpha... Anyway, there's no method of regaining lives/HP, but you can get all weapons [including dev weapons, lasers etc.] by hitting P. Hitting N will give you 100 credits, and you can customise all the guns stats inside all the folders, so it's real easy to modify. HF.

This game is pretty decent for an Alpha, I would be completely satisfied if I could figure out how to edit how much Plutoniam it takes to get moar moneyz and how to edit the cost of guns. Then again I could do with the ability to edit monster attacks.
