Finally, after about 14 months, ive duct-taped and stapled together a band lineup with a few friends. Ill be doing vocals and being that i dont know shit about musical hardware, i need some recomendations for a microphone and amp. Music will be alternative/progressive rock/emo/metal/everything rock-ish.
All help is appreciated.
I use an SM58 personally, it's pretty much the industry standard, comes to a bit less than 150$ (did for me, anyway). An amp, on the other hand, highly depends on how much you're willing to pay... I'd suggest having a look around, and asking the people in music stores wherever you live.
We have like one really shitty music store, thats it. Its not a very built up place.
Thanks KK.
If the mic is 150$ I can spend another 150$ on the amp.
ALL PRAISE YOUR SUPREME LORD CORBO
I recommend KK's mic too
I also suggest you to find out the other amps watt power. If the dud on the guitar uses a 7 watt amp you should get at least a 7 watt amp, the voice has to be heard more than everything else.
Also, it would help me make a recommendation if you at least tell me if you sing low or hi, the decision of buying an amp is influenced by your singing skills.
A general way to go would be a nice clean sound amp.
fuck you all
I sing in a lot of different voices because up until this point ive always been singing songs of bands i like. One of my main problems right now is i have no idea what i really sound like, just the different sounds ive done.
Id say im lower than Copeland (
