Seeing how many people miss the greatness. And of course, it would still be the same in all it's glory.

I would judge, I don't think I can participate, seeing as I can never finish a map :/

Instead of "will you partipate or not" the better question would be "would you finish a map or not", because that is the main issue with monthly contests. It doesn't matter if 100% of the community is willing to participate if none of them are going to finish a map. On the other hand, if there are only a handful of people willing to participate AND they actually finish a map, then the contest will be successful.

I agree with you, that is a huge problem. But thats up to the individual, not much I can do about it.

Yea, you can't do much about it, I mean it's not like you're the one creating the poll options. :-_-:

I'm wondering if they would participate or not, I am sure that out of 7 so far, 1 or 2 would actually finish.

If your poll options were more specific you wouldn't have to speculate as much. Like if you asked them to honestly answer if they would finish a map and not just if they would participate or not.

I say more incentive to finishing a map would be to charge a steep mineral fee, collateral. If they finish a map they get their mins back, if they don't you keep it, or it gets added to some winner's pot or something.

I made a map for the mapping contest which was only 4 days long and my last trigger ruined the map, so maybe I will be better in future... :D
But I've other things to do, so maybe. If I like the topic, maybe. If I have no idea, I won't. ^^

I was thinking about that, but then people with little minerals couldn't participate. But then again, that would force them to be more active on the forums. I think I am going to talk to isolatedpurity about running a mapping contest hosted specifically by Dyne, unrelated to SEN. Shouldn't be a problem there if they aren't planning on doing one within the next two days.

And devilesk, why can't we be friends and just have more somewhat intelligent discussions like this one? Do we really have to be dicks to each other 24/7? :dontgetit:

Provided Laura finishes ST-1 (New RP console, its really starting to look promising.), i can definitely make an RP's terrain in a month if i really want to, so i could push one out monthly if i wanted to, though i doubt id do it every month. I do have a couple other projects that are near-done and could be entered if you make one for April.

If your going to make it for April, i suggest you do it now, and allow the finishing of already started maps.
