Hmm I too have thought about making a more creative bound rather than just re-releasing the same maps over and over with the pictured terrain, friend box, music, same obs, ect...I did make a bound a while back called Cast Spell Bound where you had to darkswarm where you wanted to move but it didn't get the most amazing reviews because all it would do was delay move time. I think allot of new bounds are making obs that just aren't fun. I liked it better in the old days when there were those easy yet fun obs like the sucky explosion trap. I also liked those jail break style bounds. If you could make a more updated version of one of those that would be really hype. I like the hole teamwork aspect to them. Also maybe go to other genres of maps and ask the question "how could this be used in a bound?" you never know you might come up with craazy ideas.

Music, use Šeath Counters, they are easy to use, Like, with Hyper Triggers, 12 death counts = 1 second, so if the music was 2 minutes long [120 seconds] multiply 120x12. And then use subtracting to get the music to reset, like
0 deaths of Foo Set to 600 deaths of Foo Preserve then below it Always Subtract 1 deaths of Foo Preserve ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I already use Death Counters for the obstacles. I'm not so sure that I want to add music. I want to but the music that is in most bounds usually make the game lag, triggers lag, and normally takes longer to download. I might, eventually. My bound is unfinished, so let me know. Post them up here. I already have the bound fool proof. Instead of killing 1 of the explosions ( Protoss Dark Archon ) it kills all of them, regardless of where they are. Minigames after each area of the map.
On the old KoN. Bound (anyone have it so i can dl? ) map that me and Sonickon made(2004?), the first minigame was a "Wack-O-Mole" type game. You use some Switches to make units(i used lings) randomly spawn in a small area and you and your team tries to kill them(manualy, you will be allied with the comp and your ghosts are in another small area so they cant move?) before they dissapear and a new set of that mob appears(random spots). The more kills that your team gets before the game is over then the more extra lives that everyone gets as a team. The other minigame in that map was a kind of "micro" defense game with a few waves bu it was too hard to be any fun. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
