So, I need an electric guitar with amp, and preferably headphones and speakers.
'Course, I'm a complete guitar nub, so I need you to give me some good advice on an AFFORDABLE [at most 150$] amp. I already have a good deal with a friend of mine's dad who's in a band, and is selling a decent guitar to me for 200$, so all I need is advice on a decent cable, amp and headphones.

Have I mentioned that you have the same speakers as I do?
And they suck! :P
I have to apply brute force to the on/off knob so it works.

Hmm.. if you're an starter I would have recommended one of those starter sets they sell.
I would say a Yamaha one or a Fender one. They come with guitar bag, sometimes picks, an amp and of course a guitar oh and a belt :P.
With my first Electric guitar I bought a Yamaha one and it came with all of that plus a tuner.
But if you already have a good deal stay with it, but your guitar won't be new and likely to die in a shorter time.

About amps, Doodle's VERY wrong :P
Get a serious amp, a Jazz Master by fender is my choice and I don't recommend it if you're playing in a punk/rock/metal band or if you're into those genres.
I'd go with a marshall or a peavey (peavey's are usually powefull but the sound is not always that clean when pushed to max)
Headphones? um.. you don't really need heaphones only if you don't want to wake up your parents at 3:00 AM
I have no recommendation on this but try not to go with some headphones that exceed $30 (and not from a weird trademark of course) You'll find that headphones will be useless when you start so don't waste your money.

About the cables, try not to get the ones that are closed. Buy the ones that you can extract the input head. hmm I'll probably find an screenshot because I don't know how to say this in english...

Okay here it goes,
We don't want this

Because when extremely used it starts folding and unfolding and the moves of plugging it and unplugging it ruin it, specially at the head parts.

We want this:

Because you can extract the metallic part for easier fix in case it stops working.

But that's just me, there's people that like to use the first one for some reason.

I'm curious, what guitar is it? and how many years has it been used?

It's a few years old, but in great condition because he NEVER uses it, because of his other, much better guitar. It's a Les Paul.
And how much would one of those cables cost? And is a Frontman 10G ($100) any good? What I really need is a decent, but cheap (like I said, under $150) amp.

None.

What does the 10G stands for? Is it Amp model? :P
How many watts?

Nevermind me, I'm stupid.

It's good but I don't think it's really an offer :P

10watt's more than what I had with my first amp :(

We live in a society.

My friend has this, it's pretty good.

There's a Fender Frontman in my basement. It's pretty shitty and gives me feedback all the time, but I don't know how much it cost... all I know is that it was a starter amp. Which is probably why it's crap. :P

You can pick up some crap cables for under $15.... A "good" 15ft. cable will cost between $20 and $40. There's more expensive ones, but you shouldn't need them for awhile.

I know that now at allot of guitar stores they sell some pretty crappy Japanese rip offs of good guitar models. If you're just starting you wont even notice the difference really. Maybe even play for a good month before even buying an amp to see if you like it or not. Maybe also try and buy a used one or get a friend deal going on. For cords maybe just buy the shortest cord possible (don't get a pedal chord). You aren't going to be playing on stage any time soon so you don't need to be worrying about length. Amps can be really cheep, you definitely anre't ready for power so get a small amount of wats. with an 150$ budget, you should have no problem.

You can't really tell that.
There's some people that learn really good basics in less than weeks and luckily find a band that needs a filling guitarrist and he'd be playing on stage.

wth is starcraft

I got my les paul jr epiphone for 75 bucks...and the amp was my dad's old one. The guitar needed some work but anyone who knows how to fix guitars can fix it (neck was bent...we just unscrewed it and realigned it) so pick and choose your battles. Buy a cheap used guitar :)
