So yeah guys i decided to start playing again and apearently a new server just opened and it is fairly easy to manage planets...and I have a nice foothold on a planet I took over. Might as well introduce the game to all who don't know what it is:

I am currently on the new classic server under the alias: Eternus
I am quite successful atm and will have a nicely defended planet up soon.

WARNING: The server is total chaos right now, with around 58 people on at once nearly all the time you tend to run into people who want to kill you quite alot. However, this makes the game all the more fun.

Reminds me of Escape Velocity back in the day when it was popular.

Oh hell no, I'm not getting dragged into that again.

On second thought, clarify on reborn and funner please, most of the old-timers left because Toonces was changing everything. Are you saying the game has changed since you last played it (Which I remember the thread on that). Or has it only changed in the fact that a there's a new server?

The new server was fun. Most of the time you can log on to 58 people on that one server. Other than that, I believe Toonces tuned down the needs of planets. Go if you wish, it is majorly time consuming though.
By the way, I quit that game, it is so demanding and time-consuming.

Whats the point if you're not going to play it thoroughly.

I think what BeDazed means, is that you just said you quit the game, and yet you started the thread that is about playing starport again. That's just being hypocritical.

He made this topic nearly three months ago, he probably didn't know he was gonna quit. I quit because it takes too long for warp fuel to accumulate, and I'm not spending my own fucking money for any. You get what, 12 gallons an hour?

I'm too cheap to spend money on any MMO, I used to just buy warp fuel with in-game money. Was like 100 million for 5k-10k credits on perma 4, depending on who and when you were dealing. That's a lotta warp fuel right there.

Wtf. I didn't know you get spend in-game money for credts :l

Yeah, but you don't buy it "officially" per-se. You buy it from other players. Every server always has the people who spend real money to get tokens but have no in-game money. You just buy from those people.

Oh yeah, to clarify, made a typing mistake before in the last post, credits are the in-game money, and tokens are the things you can buy with real money, and are used to exchange for warp fuel or ships or nukes, etc... You're using in-game money (credits) to buy tokens, and then using tokens to buy warp fuel.

Yeah I kinda did...and how do you see that as a bad thing? The game is time consuming and the only thing that can keep some away is fuel.

BTW: BeDazed is just being bitchy because I said CyberNations was dumb.
