Is there a plugin for SCMDraft that adds a terrain palette of recently used terrain like Starforge has? If so.. I won't be needing Starforge to work on my computer.

Thank you.

Not exactly, but SCMDraft does feature the ability to save and load terrain brushes which could act as an equivalent to what you want. It also has copy/paste, so you could just use that for recently used terrain.

How would I use this terrain brush tool? I have been using the copy/paste when needed but it is not the same as StarForge.

Another thing, would it be possible to make the tool snap to the top left corner of the terrain placing square rather than the center? It is a pain in the butt when placing large sections of the terrain along the boarder.

Thank you!(:

Go to Window -> Brush Palette. Then just copy whichever terrain you want to save to the brush (you can also hold down ctrl + shift to copy/paste irregular terrain that isn't rectangular), give it a name in the window's text box, and then add the copied terrain to the brush. Then you can save the brush so you can use it later.

As far as I know, there's no way to place terrain from anywhere but the center unfortunately. My only advice would be to zoom out far enough that you can see where the borders align and use trial and error if necessary.

Thank you very much for the quick response. I will give that a shot when I have some time this weekend. You are the man!

sraw531 -- I don't think you can preplace partially constructed buildings. People manually halt buildings in survivals all the time though.

martosss -- I've seen partially completed buildings in some UMS ... maybe it was a zombie survival... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh maybe they were placed there from the beginning of the map .. that's 1 way to do it maybe ? place them in advance

sraw531 -- I'm pretty sure you would move the building away at some point. When you do so, you can give it to someone else. I was thinking nexi because its possible you could encourage the computer to expand to a specific spot

jjf28 -- once it's started you can try the give action so it belongs to you
[11:50 pm]
martosss -- ah, true, but that feels a bit unreliable.. what if I want that building to belong to me ... + there needs to be a wild worker buzzing around that location.. and that location needs to be free of any other units .... a lot of variables at play
[11:49 pm]
jjf28 -- with the computer approach you encourage them to build it

jjf28 -- with the create approach ya
[11:48 pm]
martosss -- But if you create a building doesnt it magically appear, instead of being warped?
[11:39 pm]
jjf28 -- you'd need a computer ofc, and the right base AI script
[11:38 pm]
jjf28 -- well hey, maybe you can use the gateway's warping effect, and replace it with a nexus
