It's like the 8th time I get a BSoD in 2 weeks. It seems to only happen when I have iTunes or SC2 Editor open (but I pretty much always have them open...).
How can I identify what makes my PC crash?
Could it mean that the PC might die out soon (aka losing all my stuff)?

While useful, that link strangely doesn't actually suggest writing down the STOP error code.

You should do this each time you have a BSOD, to check whether they're always the same one or if you get different ones. Hopefully, and most likely, they'll all be the same. Once you have the stop code, you can google it to find out what it is, which will help you to diagnose what the actual problem is.

My BF's laptop gets BSOD every now and then which is 0x0000008E, which is the stop code for a memory error. Initially it appeared to be a dodgy SoDIMM, which we removed, but they kept occurring after that with just the one 2gb stick in. It seems that the ram can sometimes become slightly unseated so as to cause BSODs; so now whenever we see them, we simply open the laptop up and re-seat the ram and it goes away, problem solved. But this is only possible because we know what the stop code is.

STOP Error 0x00000116: VIDEO_TDR_ERROR
STOP error 0x116 means that an attempt to reset the display driver and recover from a timeout failed. STOP code 0x00000116 may also display "VIDEO_TDR_ERROR" on the same STOP message.
This is what I'm getting. I understood my BSoDs only happen when I switch from a program to the SC2 Editor, and I think more precisely when I switch to its "Terrain" window (which requires displaying 3D graphics).
It doesn't always occur.
And it never used to occur a few months ago.

Update your graphics drivers, or roll back to the earlier version if you recently updated it, since this didn't use to happen.

I'm currently using this link to update my driver. However, using Windows' integrated updating feature, I was told my driver is already updated.
How do I know when the driver was last updated? (Hoping my current update doesn't erase that value.)

Oh_Man -- because it adds anotherr level of player decision-making where u dont wanna walk too far away from the medic or u lose healing value

Oh_Man -- initially I thought it was weird why is he still using the basic pre-EUD medic healing system, but it's actually genius
