Is it possible to make triggers specifically for Spectators/Referees?
I'd like to have specs/refs being able to switch place with players.
Applications: Getting specs/refs to replace/switch place with a leaver. Would also allow me to trigger "stats display buttons" where specs/refs can show/hide names on players' unit (but they'd be the only one seeing them).

I do stuff and thingies... Try widening and reducing the number of small nooks and crannies to correct the problem.

I don't think so.

I only managed to make spectators and referees use the dialogs of a computer or existing/left players ingame when they are in these player's vision.

So they can interact with Dialog Items shown to a player they are observing?

Yes. The event will use the spectator, but you need to display every change to the player. You can't display things to spectators only. So using a computer or left players for that is the cleanest way atm.

You can check it out in the Temple Siege 2 map. host a 5vs5, make yourself a spectator/referee and add some AI players to the teams. For example, you can use the custom leaderboard button as a spectator for the computer player.

I really hope they add a separate view for spectators with their own dialog vision... This would allow us to do EVERYTHING for spectators like showing tables, graphs, etc per spectator instance...
They announced a few changes to the spectator UI like using your own player's layout for that, but that's more directed to melee casters.

What do you mean by "the event will use the spectator"?
Also, I guess I should go by something close to "If Diablog Item 'x' is Used + If Controller of Triggering Player == Spectator" ?

Yes, I mean that the triggering player is the spectator and what you suggest should work.

You could make your own spectators with some players you aren't using. It might not be the best option, but it can definitely be done.

Feels like late 90s and early 2000s with the layout and StarCraft 1 theme.
