Basically what I have in mind is taking the Dash games to the next level and have the terrain play a part in the actual gameplay rather than just dodging targets. The setup I was thinking will probably be the same as the actual game where you have to run while a timer is ticking. At the end of the stage the timer stops. To make things more interesting there will be a full fledged story, which makes this map an Rpg. Also to make things more competitive I'll be hosting a site where you can post your fastest times and share strategies with other players. Here a video reference for the gameplay.
@ DevliN Announcing @ClansAreForGays of course... it's not a "port" you can always reinvent things in SC it may not be Sonic the Hedgehog, but it can have that dash feel mixed with this.
Alright, then I'm closing this. When you actually have a map in the works using this concept, I recommend you create a new topic in the Map Production forum. Otherwise there isn't much of a reason reason to have this topic.
Vrael shouted: I almost had a heart attack just thinking about calculating all the offsets it would take to do that kind of stuff
With the modern EUD editors, I don't think they're calculating nearly as many offsets as you might imagine. Still some fancy ass work that I'm sure took a ton of effort
