no... i mean wilderness like an open area, not enclosed like diablo... if thats why u think its like diablo 2. i use acts not for areas but time keepers so i can keep track of whats what and where it is exactly. Each act intersects with each others quests in some areas, and some acts have 2-3 towns, not 1 like diablo.. and the quests arent even the same or either is the whole idea of everything, so why does it come to mind that its like diablo 2?

it seems like diablo 2 just because "chaos and destruction" in the 2nd quest.. sounds like diablo 2 to me. Also so far what you've posted it sounds (parts of it) like act 1 in diablo. A "wanderer"? comon... make it.. unique?

lol try starting off with a Smaller RPG without any big scenes.people dont have to like it, it will give you experience and feedback on a map to find out what people will expect or want in a RPG.

Thats not always true... First of all you can just do a survey on the general posts to see what type of rpg people like, you dont have to make a crappy map and get yelled at. And if you do make a crappy map then people will think that all your maps will be crappy in past, present, and future. So making a crappy map and releasing it will make matters worse for your map making career.
