Well guys. my problem dose not invalve the center view actions at all. there r none in this map. problem is. the screen will center on a area of the map that has no location at the top mid (more or less around a building). normal center view actions when (repeated to keep players on set spots) bring the curser to the cernter of the screen aswell. Now the screen gets stuck there. but you can move ur mouse around. now why the screen is stuck, every time u try to look somwhere else, ur brought back to that spot as if hyper triggers r running and its a trigger.. (i have no hyper triggers running) Help?


Edit: ok i found the location it was one a lil further up and here's the trigger.

Condition:
"switch 07" is "cleared"

Action:
Center view for "force 1" on "Death1"


i'm still wandering why i still can't move my screan away from that spot when the trigger is not preserved... and why my curser is free to move around with in the screen and not centered to the mid...

Don't know about the cursor thing but you are right, without a preserve the screen cannot be constantly centered.

2 ideas:
- Somewhere else (for another player) is a similar trigger that IS preserved or
- Some key is stuck. For example Space bar is constantly pressed, which centers on the last event. That would happen with hypertriggerspeed and probably not affect the mouse.

well guys the fixed it once i posted about it however. if u have ever played the "S.W.A.T." Map or one similar to it (having the starting screan of the game viewing nothing but black (no units on screan or mini probibly because trigger hasent given them out yet) and they are runing a short animated text intro to the game. You might have seen somthing similar.

i can, at a leter point in time try to replicate the effects but right now i have one more problem.

the new problem consists of the map droping players (crashes their client after oh say.. 30 seconds of game play.

now i have made the map useing SCAMDraft 2 (latest) and when i opened it with xtra-editor (special) it romoved 1 doddad and about 62 objects (terran add-ons used in stack to make the intearor of the house (sink, shitter, washer/dryer, etc.) and some minerals uses for the maze. so i'm not sure if it's that or trigger based.

This happens every time the map is played online with other ppl. if played on single player, it works fine...

"Heads up" Map is a "Dawn of the Dead" style map with simple triggers along the same lines as the orijinal "Dawn of the Dead" map. but made to fix a new map layout
around 8:00 pm 11/26/07 I'll post the most up to date ver. of the map.

Btw. I'm looking for a 1 on 1 helper/partner/freind that i can trust wiht my maps and is highly skilled.
I mainly make RPGs and fix old maps. (I have over 4 years exp. but am add and tend to get mixed up :P
am hopeing that NudeRaider Will jump for joy and thro his hand up :P

(Lost my "old" lil buddy to Texas... Darn that Texas...)

xtra-editor removes sprites/specially placed objects because it's less powerful than SCMDraft, so it doesn't recognize them (xtra doesn't have sprites). That has nothing to do with triggers.

Be careful that you don't have any buildings hanging off the edge of the map that belong to a player that isn't there in single player. I had that happen to me once.

2 minutes and 40 seconds the first person drops. then. ever 5 "game" seconds after that untill it has crashed everyone's cleints.

did you disable any sprites? if so, which ones, because some generate a crash after a while.
also note that placing independent starports/ccs can make crashes, along with turrets.
