My motivation for this topic was merely the gradual change occurring where I live. I don't bother to watch Launches because I generally can't afford a full priced game so I never saw how popular it was, but in my neck of the woods (Canada, eh?) the only people I knew who played StarCraft were korean, until now. It's more of an underground movement here... But nice to see people playing something other than COD (which I predict a full stop in success soon (meaning 2 years or so)).

And there might be a time when you miss being naive too.

But I was stating from Cardinal's point of view. This topic in a sense is pointless, but everyday life is in that sense- pointless. From that view, everything does not have any grand scheme in the higher sense. I was actually retorting that what he said was stupid, and should refrain from saying 'something is pointless'.

@Topic -

I think making SC2 a trilogy was a great business move by Blizzard. It triples their income, and also at least guarantees a 6 year lifespan of SC2. But after all that, if they fail to meet even just B.net 1 standards, the game will quickly dwindle back into solely koreans and die-hards again. What they need to do is surpass our expectations. In that sense, they failed horribly.
