Who has seen this movie?
I've just finished watching it and, seriously... it makes me wonder why people gives a fuck about living in this boring cycle of modern life about getting money and then spending it.
I'm coming back from some awesome trips, some hitch hiking and 5 days in the wild nature without contact with the civilization, and I wonder why people don't even think about doing this kind of thing.
This movie completely amazed me and is about to change my career orientation.
On a side note, I did cry at the end.
None.
I've seen it a couple of years ago. It is an amazing film. The ending
is very powerful.
spoilers + little rant
There is a dark side to the character... his way of life was just a representation of how lonely he was; he could've stayed with that girl but he ran away from what could've been a beautiful relationship. Though the idea of self-exploration and burning the fat off our souls is a noble one, we must be careful not to let our negative emotions use it against us. I see it as a gamble: you can lead a similar life but end up finding a nasty truth about yourself and regretting it, but the possible 'win' would be doing something extrodinary with your life.
