Of course.

I'm actually just posting to put ZombieFagshot's thread out of the most forum index

Anyone have any ideas about radiation (in many areas, so trigger/location minimal).
I used 13 minerals for THIS!?

With virtual HP and burrowed units, you could do it pretty easily.

And in a non-RPG map? Like a Diplomacy one?

Well, what specifically do you want the radiation to do?

Basicly it's a diplomacy map about Chernobyl. Most areas off main roads need to be radiated, so they, while not completely removing the ability to move trough the fields, would punish the wandering units

What would the punishment be, that's what I was asking.

You see, that's unbelievably difficult, due to SCs ability to only set health, rather than subtract health.. Perhaps invisible units could attack you :P

You could have irradiated air units running through the sky. That way it'd only hurt biological units, as well.

Yeah, but that's A: Annoying to get spells to work properly, and it just looks cheesy anyway :P You could "dodge" the radiation :P

How about lurker fire going back and forth across radiated pathways.

It would be reasonable to have a flying cloaked wraith that is irradated, but there is no way to get the computer to do that. Poison clouds eh?
Lurker seems feasable as well, but then again, random spikes running back and forth through the ground isn't so great...

That would be pointless to do anyway since irradiate decloaks anyway.
Its actually not difficult to reliably get a unit irradiated. I would have a few irradiated scvs pop up in random places. They do damage instantly so you can switch really fast and not worry about having to keep them around.

Junkyard I guess, but there is the occasional collision (unless you WANT the collision).

Good idea. Building on it, in irradiated areas, irradiated scourge are created directly above your unit briefly and disappear, damaging you.
