Blizzard's greatest failure may be their unwillingness to communicate with the community that has a wealth of experience and knowledge.

Besides it being to long I stopped reading right there. (No not really. Curiosity got to me)

So you get that empirical data based on stat tracking, you get feedback from the beta forums, and then you get the high-level meta-game that exists largely in the minds and strategic evolution of experienced players.

DB: Yup. And our personal play experience, which is probably the most important. We take from whichever one is providing the correct information.

If we look at the stats and we say, "This doesn't actually back anything we're experiencing online," I'm very suspicious of that number. We get information from a lot of different sources, and then we use the other sources to refute or corroborate. We look at another source and say, "You know what? What they're saying online matches my play experience, and it matches the stats. This seems real. Let's talk about what some possible fixes can be."

On the other hand, "You know, what they're saying online does not match my play experience and it does not match the stats. Let's put this on a watch list, and if we see more information that can prove it to us, we'll make a fix. If we don't, maybe it will go away and was never real."

If we're talking as blizzard as a whole then I don't think you can they don't listen at all. Just seems like the suck at everything that isn't gameplay though but even then they do it with their idea being better for and than the community. I think at launch we'll get surprises like group chat coming out sooner then expected or maybe the way blizzard is intending for things to go to be a lot better. Who knows.

Most importantly, this solution does not release your personal email or real name. The system identifies you, and it's up to you if you want to use your game specific id or share your real identity.
-Real.ID

Not saying SEN did but I don't see the huge commotion and why people are complain about this so much. It's as if people think they even have to put their real name in the "real name" box instead of another alias anyway.

So can someone explain to me how the Activision blizzard works? Does Activision get any say on what blizzard does in their games like "DON'T ADD CHAT ROOMS", or is it more lke "You need to make X amount of dollars in a year after release" forcing them to do things indirectly like charing for a lot of extra thing, or not at all?

The editor censors whatever Battle.net censors and refuses uploads. "Suicide", "God", and "blow" are amongst the words that, even if only contained in editor-related strings, will prevent you from ever playing your map online. StarCraft was rated M on release and StarCraft II will be rated T on release. Blizzard was not liable for any obscene content on custom projects until they introduced this system.
Oh wow. The side of me that feels like boycotting until shit gets changes just grew. No more suicide AI, easy trolling, or blow guns. :C

I kinda felt like blizzard just shitted on me when that guy asked him if their was going to be chat rooms/chatroom suggestions and replied with "(LOL)NOPE. [...]"

;_;

Somethings wrong here... I get that they are focused on the whole "getting of spammers and optimizing connectivity between players" but it's like they are taking the money efficient routes to get there. I still want to focus all of my hate towards Activision though. Feel like they tainted Blizzard somehow ._.

Yeah, i'm pretty sure they'll do some stuffs better after the launch...
exactly why i'm not buying this pile of corporate shit right away until they realize how much shit they've thrown into it, and removed the shit.
If they never remove it, then the game's not worth buying at least until the next expansion.

>> Have we forgotten this: Like having 3 expansions isn't worth enough money, Mr. big corporate activision-blizzard dickheads?

... Wow, I wish I had known all this BEFORE I pre-ordered SC2 and got the Beta with it. Sigh... another decent gaming company destroyed by the desire for profit...

it is more like they have the final say. they are the ones that oversee/approve the projects not as much "the details'.

I don't have a source, but from what I remember reading is that the person with the most say, i.e. highest ranked, is an activision marketing/financial guy. After that there's supposed to be 2 blizzard peeps, but are also on the financial side as well.

NudeRaider -- PSA: ASUS apparently decided their RMA department needs to "become profitable" and for a while now outright tries to scam customers. They were called out on it a year ago, promised to change, but didn't. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7pMrssIrKcY so my recommendation: Stop buying ASUS, and if you already have and need something RMA'd, make sure to not let them bully you into paying.
