(Original thread on ModCrafters.)

Hello world!

Polaris and I bring you a new 3D model pack!
I modelled them while Polaris rendered them. (although I think Corbo did one or two, also! xD ) Anyway, thanks to all those who helped out!

(I used Wings3D v1.2 in order to model the thangs.)

This model pack includes 6 spacecrafts, 2 tanks, and 1 (big) missile.
It also includes the source models (in *.wings format).

UPDATE (Dec. 17, 2010)
Scroll down for the second pack!
Second pack contains 3 unique spaceships.

Feel free to modify the models! Just make sure you credit us as the makers of the original thangs, ja? And you have to release the modifications under the same license! >:O
(This applies to all Doomageddon packs in this thread, unless otherwise specified.)

Closing Notes
I hope to continue modelling these thangs, so that StarCraft modders everywhere (and people in general) have more 3D GRPS/models to use.
I think that most SC modders don't use 3D models rendered into GRPs because most of them don't really fit in StarCraft, amongst all the normal and kitbashed units. But, I feel that if I can saturate the need for various models, then style and conformation needs will be satisfied, and more 3D models will be used as GRPs.
Simply put, I hope to start a 3D model movement, so that "looking right" is no longer a great issue.
I think it can be done, especially since IskatuMesk has already released a large number of 3D models, too.
Unfortunately, due to my own inadequate skills in modelling and animating, I will mostly be producing these "static" models. :(
Maybe we will see a surge in fleet mods?

I hope you find these models satisfy your needs.

gl hf!

EDIT:
Consider this model pack open source with only one, mandatory condition: they are properly attributed/credited. (TBH, I don't really care if you release derivative works with the same license/open source thing, though preferably, you do. ;o )

Are you sure about that?

Let me rephrase what I said.

So, you rae like the new me, except that you actually do stuff instead of just sitting around sharing ideas and watching Polaris do the job. Sweet.

Updated thread with the second pack. The Doomageddon model packs are now a complete set of similar-style models.

Now, should I do structures?...
