[2015-11-24. : 8:59 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I think there are korean ones
[2015-11-24. : 8:59 am]
Oh_Man -- like, i mean not just test maps, but actual maps
[2015-11-24. : 8:58 am]
Oh_Man -- are there even that many EUD action enabled maps out there
[2015-11-24. : 8:58 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- though with real eud actions you could only modify players 1-8, which limited them quite a bit... enabled eud actions opens it wider than it was originally
[2015-11-24. : 8:57 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- but things like that become almost trivial
[2015-11-24. : 8:57 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- EUD Actions are so cool, I wish they'd've let us keep them a little bit
[2015-11-24. : 8:56 am]
Oh_Man -- protoss shields on terran units, dynamic upgrades (up and down), and cursor detection
[2015-11-24. : 8:56 am]
Oh_Man -- yeah JJ is gonna help me with my RPG after i release, patch in some EUD features i wanna do
[2015-11-24. : 8:56 am]
Oh_Man -- still, BW getting a fresh coat of paint and maybe even being moved over to the new battlenet - that will be good boost to player count
[2015-11-24. : 8:55 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I tried a little bit for custom code ,but wasn't sure how to clean it up so the map just crashed immediately xD
[2015-11-24. : 8:55 am]
Oh_Man -- i mean, they never figured out how to stop map hack users, so maybe not
[2015-11-24. : 8:55 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I think jjf was looking at running custom executable code
[2015-11-24. : 8:55 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- there probably is, but it's extremely convoluted
[2015-11-24. : 8:54 am]
Oh_Man -- there's probably a way to patch out overflows all together
[2015-11-24. : 8:54 am]
Oh_Man -- so if they got wind of that, for safety reasons, they'd probably patch out
[2015-11-24. : 8:54 am]
Oh_Man -- pretty sure right now with stack overflows u can do hardcore virus shit
[2015-11-24. : 8:54 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- If they do too much, I'm sure a lot of these tricks that we know and love will be gone
[2015-11-24. : 8:53 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- that depends on what they do
[2015-11-24. : 8:53 am]
Oh_Man -- with this upcoming HD patch from blizz, using EUDs could be risky
[2015-11-24. : 8:53 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Roy's EUDGen makes them simpler to add
[2015-11-24. : 8:53 am]
Oh_Man -- conditions
[2015-11-24. : 8:52 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- actions and conditions (EUD Enabler), or just conditions?
[2015-11-24. : 8:52 am]
Oh_Man -- i wanna learn EUDs for my next map
[2015-11-24. : 8:51 am]
Oh_Man -- if i do any new maps after this RPG i will consider learning chkdraft
[2015-11-24. : 8:51 am]
Oh_Man -- yeah, wuld be handy, but too late to the party
[2015-11-24. : 8:51 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- too bad jjf hasn't finished chkdraft yet, with his extended strings it's my understanding that locations, comments, and stuff that that doesn't do anything in-game wouldn't count towards the string limit
[2015-11-24. : 8:49 am]
Oh_Man -- i use drop down menu mostly, the classic trigedit, and i use the text editor only wen doing copy pasting chunks of triggers
[2015-11-24. : 8:48 am]
Oh_Man -- that text file wuld be effing massive
[2015-11-24. : 8:48 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- because I was going to suggest if you use text triggers you can just keep your triggers in a separate txt file and put the comments there
[2015-11-24. : 8:47 am]
Oh_Man -- gonna recycle em
[2015-11-24. : 8:47 am]
Oh_Man -- i have a couple hanging around b4 i realised they used strings
[2015-11-24. : 8:47 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- also you said something about comments, are you using trigger comments?
[2015-11-24. : 8:47 am]
Oh_Man -- fck thta
[2015-11-24. : 8:46 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- oh. I just tried with linebreaks and you can do it, you'll just have no way of later determining which wav is which without a lot of guessing
[2015-11-24. : 8:45 am]
Oh_Man -- jjf28
jjf28 shouted: you would need the true character (alt+001), and any strings with line breaks wouldn't work
[2015-11-24. : 8:45 am]
Oh_Man -- jjf28 -- you would need the true character (alt+001), and any strings with line breaks wouldn't work
[2015-11-24. : 8:45 am]
Oh_Man -- jj actually said it
[2015-11-24. : 8:45 am]
Oh_Man -- okay
[2015-11-24. : 8:43 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- the listfile won't read it, but it's there xD
[2015-11-24. : 8:43 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- If you use <0a> like I said, I just tried it and I put that in an MPQ filename
[2015-11-24. : 8:42 am]
Oh_Man -- wen i was converting my WAVs in WINMPQ to recycled strings
[2015-11-24. : 8:42 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I don't remember saying that.. do you mean like a filename in an mpq can't have a linebreak?
[2015-11-24. : 8:41 am]
Oh_Man -- you said if i recycled string that had an enter in it with MPQ it wouldn't work
[2015-11-24. : 8:39 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- also I'm not sure if SCMDraft does it or not, but <0a> is better than just hitting enter because hitting enter is 2 characters and not just 1.
[2015-11-24. : 8:39 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- I don't remember anything about linebreaks and mpqs, but comments and locations should be allowed to use them
[2015-11-24. : 8:38 am]
Oh_Man -- That thing you said about not being allowed line breaks in MPQ. Does same apply for comments and locations?
[2015-11-24. : 8:36 am]
Oh_Man -- string limit only thing stopping my RPG from being infinitely big
[2015-11-24. : 8:36 am]
Oh_Man -- probably for the best
[2015-11-24. : 8:36 am]
Oh_Man -- damn you blizzard
[2015-11-24. : 8:33 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- exactly 1 string can exceed that limit, but you can't add more strings
[2015-11-24. : 8:32 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- Other than the one exception I specified
[2015-11-24. : 8:32 am]
Oh_Man -- "for the most part"??
[2015-11-24. : 8:31 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- but for the most part, there is no way of getting around it
[2015-11-24. : 8:30 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- the limit is because of how the strings are stored ... there is basically a list marking the position of the first character of every string, but it can't have a value greater than 65535. As long as the very last string's first character's position is less than that, it can be longer
[2015-11-24. : 7:24 am]
Oh_Man -- FaRTy1billion
FaRTy1billion shouted: Well, the very last string can exceed that amount
WHAT do u mean by that
[2015-11-24. : 6:39 am]
Corbo -- Like this one: https://gfycat.com/TestyDentalCalf
[2015-11-24. : 6:38 am]
Corbo -- Say... how do people make those pretty starcraft gifs?
[2015-11-24. : 6:31 am]
Corbo -- oh mine's... well, I guess you could call it impressive
[2015-11-24. : 6:29 am]
O)FaRTy1billion[MM] -- mine's less impressive though
[2015-11-24. : 6:21 am]
Corbo -- Farty succeeded but I am failing
[2015-11-24. : 5:44 am]
poiuy_qwert -- Corbo
Corbo shouted: Farty and I just had an idea
The suspense is killing me :O
[2015-11-24. : 5:41 am]
poiuy_qwert -- I found the flaw that can make files stay open if saving errors, i'm going to update all the programs to fix
[2015-11-24. : 5:29 am]
Corbo -- Farty and I just had an idea
[2015-11-24. : 5:25 am]
poiuy_qwert -- fixed
[2015-11-24. : 5:25 am]
Corbo -- poiuy_qwert
poiuy_qwert shouted: Corbo hmm so that to me looks like you somehow placed a star at a negative coordinate
I am pro. I can also divide those stars by 0.
[2015-11-24. : 5:22 am]
poiuy_qwert -- oh lol, I just noticed that I'm limiting the preview of where you place stars to >0 but not where you actually place them :S
[2015-11-24. : 5:21 am]
poiuy_qwert -- Corbo hmm so that to me looks like you somehow placed a star at a negative coordinate
[2015-11-24. : 5:19 am]
Corbo -- http://pastebin.com/qCxehy1Q
[2015-11-24. : 5:19 am]
Corbo -- Don't laugh at yourself. This is serious.
